The amount of shithead comments in the grays is making me very happy. Just sitting there by themselves, few recommendations and replies between the lot of them.

The moving scene was regrettably cut short by a counterprotest from the Washington Bullets.

"So we figured, hey, let's draw attention to racial inequalities in America by walking hand-in-hand out from this inflatable thing with a purple injun on it."

The tear gas element of the tribute, however, seems a bit too on-the-nose for me.

OH! LOL I think that since she and I are from the same neck of the woods, sort of the same age and are both black and so on I think I know what she means. It basically means to think that you can ignore someone because you think they are weak. Don't underestimate me. Don't take me lightly. "Don't sleep, bitch! Cause

"My past," she told the room, "is littered with the bones of men who were foolish enough to think I was someone they could sleep on."

Unfortunately the Ferguson PD took all the ignorance. You can have more soul crushing awareness.

UPDATE: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, according to NewsOne, has offered to pay the full cost of Michael Brown's funeral services. If you're ever buried someone, you know the cost can be surprisingly high especially if the deceased didn't put money away for the occasion. I'm sure the Brown family are grateful.

Seriously, if cops shoot a dog, there is more outrage over that than these cases.

No one's slick as Gaston

Seriously at this point I would rather just hear it's because he was black versus all the bullshit arguments everyone is bringing up just to justify this. Sad.

I had a whole conversation with two nice young men who were working at a mall sports store while back to school shopping with my niece. I joked that I wanted to buy the Ray Rice jersey they were selling to burn it (and I'm a Ravens fan!), to which one of them remarked that people make the same comment about Michael

And what are the chances the neighbors told the cops there were some kids in the pool, versus telling them there were some black men sniffing around their neighbor's property? What are the chances if your black friend hadn't been there, the neighbor would have just marched over to yell at you about the presumed

His Twitter is gold RE Ferguson. This particular tweet was my favorite (said in response to some racist who tweeted at him):

Yes, I heard the same point on The Diane Rhem Show this morning. One of the panelists talked about how video footage of POC in these situations of outsized police violence/brutality is scrutinized millisecond by millisecond by the public and law enforcement to try to find any sort of justification for it and say

He was BIG and black. That's what justifies his murder in all these poltroons' eyes.

On a side note:

I'm glad he made the point about being treated like a human being. That needs to be in every discussion about Ferguson, Mike Brown, and all the other cases of unarmed black Americans killed by police.
People were slavering for an excuse to blame Mike Brown for his own death. He fought for the gun! He stole cigars! He,

Not only are we not treated like human beings, black people aren't even treated as well as pets are by their fellow Americans.
