First, Fuck you! Secondly, dignity and empathy. Thirdly, fuck you.

Boom! This. How should students even afford education? Aren't they supposed to study instead of trying to make money?

I think you're pretty spot on here. Maybe Griner can work on her jump shot skills? Or do we have to wait for the whole package (as Miller had back then)?

My thoughts.

I deliberately left that part out. But yes. Also, at some point women will kick ass in the NBA, and this might be a first step. Would be cool, for sure.

Please do, the letter writing.

Plus they're restricting flyover access for press to take pics of the whole mess.

!!!! yes!!!

Ever saw the ESPN doc "Reggie Miller vs. NY Knicks"? His sister kicked his ass at basketball forever. I'd say, give her a shot, she might surprise us all.

Profitable doesn't equal good. Hence Walmart. And the lowest income in the WNBA of 37k vs 400k in the NBA.

You're off with soccer.

This.

Night as well. "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child..."

I'm with you on this as well. But..

Same page, now that you dug deeper into it. And I'm glad you even clarified that jokes about rape are on the table, if done correctly.

That's an interesting point, but from what I've read (haven't seen the movie, won't see it either) his movie lacks any sort of self-reflection on that misogyny that would justify such a statement.

Not the story she wants to hear. She's making a smart argument against a fundamentalistic movie plot packaged as a feel-good drama...

How does that justify the misogyny portrayed in this film?

It is a christian movie in that it adheres to a moral system that comes from christian beliefs. That's the argumentation here, and rightfully so. And believing in god does not necessarily mean christianism.

That doesn't mean though that it can't be shown on screen.
