I got laid off from Amazon in November. They paid me through mid January, and then I got 13 weeks of severance pay and cashed out my vacation days. Sounds sick, right? Good on them. Know what I’d rather have had? My job. How’s Amazon doing these days, by the way?

Just to play devil’s advocate here, the fact that they’re giving all the laid-off people six months’ worth of pay and healthcare is probably something that could have been mentioned a bit further up in the article. One might even say that is a more noteworthy bit of information than the fact that a random emote

Oh the same Epic that is paying boat loads of money to game devs to keep their games EGS exclusive? That took their games off mobiles because they didn’t want to pay the App Store cuts?

That completely reasonable Epic games that has a game store that bleeds money but keeps insisting on throwing more and more cash

I have a dead miner who spawns in almost every doorway in the game for me. I had one of those random proc gen quests to rescue them, I cleared out the bandits but they died to fauna on the way back, but it apparently never flagged them as dead (even though the quest failed), so every time it thinks theyve gotten too

Nazi’s typically want to remove things they don’t like/agree with.

Yeah, it’s a real weird thing to mod out. Are some people really so insecure that they can’t even stand the existence of the option?

Imagine being such an asshole that you need to a mod to remove a choice for you and only you that you weren’t going to make anyway just to make yourself feel better.

This isn’t true.. walmart said they was closing stores due to shoplifting threat and after the shut them down..and lay all those employees off they stated that the shoplifting threat was “overstated”. They did similar with the eggs when they claim chickens was affected by the flu.. and after they raised prices they

The newest trend by public figures is to claim that they received death threats as a way to recieve sympathy and to distract people from whatever horrible thing they have done in the first place.

I’ve never played FromSoftware games, but just from watching gameplay videos “wildly different” is not a phrase I’d use to describe Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. They look pretty same-y to me.

According to you, whom they did not make the game for specifically.

Or, and this might come as a shock, this is exactly the product Bethesda intended to create. That you don’t like it doesn’t change that.

I mean, the earliest description of Starfield was “Skyrim in space.”  Everything I’ve read about the game sounds like it’s literally Skyrim with a space skin.  If you were expecting something else, that’s on you.

I can’t believe this studio is still making the same game and expecting us to pay $70 for it, and to play it for more than a hundred hours.

That’s not what happened here, this isn’t a third party exclusivity deal. MS spent 7.5 billion to make this acquisition and they’re leaving money on the table by keeping it of a platform with an additional 40 million or whatever install base.

Yay someone validated your preconceived notions

Ugh. I’m really, really excited for this game, but this is the opposite of a selling point for me. I’m exhausted thinking about it.

They just admitted that Starfield would probably sell 10 million copies on PlayStstion, and yet they’re keeping that one exclusive...

I think you’ll find if you do some introspection that you’re actually racist and mad about Phillipa.

Don’t conflate being a racist asshole with having mental health issues.
