That’s a truly meaningless comparison.
That’s a truly meaningless comparison.
What a bunch of assholes.
That’s fine if you’re not meaning current inflation, but something to also keep in mind is the amount developers make off sales now is far more than 30 years ago. A 30% cut from Valve is nothing compared to then. Further, development costs are higher but investment in games is also way higher as well.
I’m not talking about ‘current’ inflation. I’m talking about how when I bought games in the 90s, they would have cost 80 dollars in current currency, and they cost far less to make.
They already announced (a long time ago, and then again, and again, and just now again) that the systems updates are coming to the base game free of charge, only the new skill tree and some other lore-specific things are kept in the expansion
While I’m not actually judging CDPR for charging that amount for a large DLC, what stood out to me that some of the stuff they are talking about as justifying the price actually sound more like updates and patches. Like the skill system in CP2077 is pretty broken, but they are putting the updated version behind a paid…
The current inflation is not good reasoning for video game costs to rise.
While I am loathe to defend CDPR, this is a stupid thing to get mad about. Expansions for major games used to cost 30-40 bucks. Taking inflation into account this is a good deal.
I think a lot of us got that “modern gaming isn’t designed with us in mind” feeling with this one.
Nazis gonna Nazi.
More of this please. Republican fascists deserve all the courtesy they give to the marginalized people they attack and bully. In other words none.
this is one of the bigger bummers in gaming, at least for me. I really don’t expect this to ever come out. Also see: Dragon Age 4. Actually, DA4 has a little more chance of being real, but this....this is just dead it seems.
“ESG is a tool to advance the Left’s broader cultural agenda” like “efforts to promote ‘gender transitions’ for children.”
Do Not Preorder Games.
Diablo 1 and 2 will still be playable long after 3 and 4 cease to be.
This reminds me of the time I played D3 for the first time and was kicked out of a single player game due to server issues. I dropped it immediately and didn’t try again for a few years.
I had asked in some other article why people hate required internet connections for games so much..
Honestly they just need to turn OW1 back on. Let those of us that actually enjoyed the game have our slice of fun and leave all the overhauled trash fire that is OW2 for the people that like that.
I didn’t mind it, I got to Act IV pretty quickly with my Necro naturally, I believe I was lvl 43. I get it, they made a big beautiful open-world full of stuff to see and do, and appreciate, as soon as most people get the mount they’re blazing right by everything that isn’t their objective, at least in Act I-III people…
Wow, what a joke. Forget this thing. That price, Christ.
