Unfortunately, charging back Nintendo purchases often results in accounts being banned... And I’m way too invested to risk getting my Nintendo account banned.

That sucks. Unfortunately, you should only ever buy something because it does what you want already. Promises can sometimes lead to nice treats, but businesses can’t be trusted, even when they fully intend to make good. 

It is great that they posted this on Saturday - as they request you use their support system to make the request - which only runs Mon-Fri.

Interestingly, I knew I was trans/ nonbinary since I was a kid, and before I even knew those such words existed.
Hiding these terms from kids isn’t gonna not make them trans/ gay/ etc, it’s just gonna make the kids that are these things feel incomplete. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think a lot of people overlook that that with Diablo in particular, the main draw has always been getting stuff.  The Diablo series is a straight up skinner box, so basically this is like “Have you considered turning off the part of your brain that makes this series fun in the first place?”

Path of Exile has had cosmetic armor costing that much or more for years.

I’m aware of my problems. It just sucks, because I want to play the game and they’re creating an environment where I can’t. It’s fine. I’ll play something else. But also RIP Diablo, for me, I guess.

I mean, I don’t really see the appeal to having to pay more money after paying $70 for the game itself... I less blame the other person’s impulse control and more greedy companies that are pulling this bullshit...

Reminds me of the AI trained to play Sonic that found a bug in the game by going right hard enough, and exploited it to finish levels in minmal time. AI training stories like this are just continued evidence of Garbage In Garbage Out programming, with programmers not considering how singleminded AI will be.

Bobby told Mike Ybarra that his teams need to start making money, and Mike Ybarra said, “Yes daddy.” and now we have this hilariously overmonetized game that exists because people will spend the money to make these prices work.

This is why I won’t be playing anytime soon. I’m buying and playing the game to get the cool looking armor. I’m not paying a 70-dollar fee to then buy a 20-dollar skin, thanks.

I’ll check this out down the road when the game is on sale for Black Friday at 20 or 30 bucks. I fucking hate battle/season passes and cosmetic…

People not using crossguard is a crime

Rijuu’s ability allows you to blow up crumbled rock formations with just arrows. Its helped me for getting through caves early when I had no bombs or wanted to save them.
