It was in the suburbs of Houston, too, and I think the extent of diversity there allowed for many of us to understand the inherent value of differing peoples and ideas. It was certainly interesting because I never had the impression that The South were the good guys in the Civil War, but I can see how people in more

Hear hear. Now, it may be because I'm a chronic user and my specific lifestyle, but since the start of my use I very rarely get anxious or angry or hateful towards anyone. It's brought a certain peace to my very perspective of existence that religion never did, hehe.

That is an excellent perspective, thanks for your words!

Like when Louis CK said, "If I could choose I would re-up every year. Yes, I'll take white again, thank you."

I attended public school in Texas and whenever the question was brought up as to what the causes of the Civil War were, if you only put "Slavery" and didn't include "State's Rights" it would be marked wrong. It was the curriculum that enforced such reasoning, rather than the teacher.

My brother had us watch this movie last night and it's a very fun, thrilling story. The interwoven plotlines are written superbly, well-enough acted, and filmed with such pizzazz that it's an all around delightful experience.

Yeah the reptilian hound design is cool, especially the skull features, but I couldn't help but wish that the monsters were more interesting. It plays into the "everything happens in hundreds" observation IV made in that, although I enjoy what we have, I would've liked more intimate fights between man and creature

It was a lovely showing; the visuals for the film are delightfully tasty and gleeful, physics be damned, and the IMAX 3D makes for quite the spectacle.

I was nearly perfectly raised along the release of these movies with Shrek 1 playing on repeat constantly for years (and then 1,2, and 3 to a lesser extent) on the upstairs dvd player. Such a presence, and apparent approval of the parents, must've helped form many of me and my peers' senses of humor. The

"I'm not a concept. Too many guys think I'm a concept or I complete them or I'm going to make them alive, but I'm just a fucked up girl who is looking for my own peace of mind. Don't assign me yours."

A good example of how utterly baffling gerrymandering is, is this map of the districts in the solidly Republican state of Utah.

Middle school me completely fell for one of those stories. My friend would tell me about his super cool video-game designer older brother who had a Canadian girlfriend and it took me until a few years afterwards to realize I'd been duped.

For me I see McDonald's fries as being truly reminiscent of being referred to as "the golden standard" in that they are your straight up FRENCH FRY. Other chains will change it up, steak-cut fries, seasoned fries, curly fries, thin fries, waffle fries, etc but McDonald's has the standard, salted fry.

That's funny because after 2012 I ceased to visit Cracked on a regular basis, instead opting for The AV Club. Hehe.

It's such a vivid and refreshing animation style and with Grey DeLisle seeming to take over as the main villain I am sufficiently excited. Excellent trailer!

" It’s the kind of processed-cheese tearjerker, completely devoid of shame, that can harden even the easiest criers into heckling cynics. "

That shot of Charlie slowly backing away, wide-eyed, as if being confronted by a tiger is hilarious every time. Charlie Day is such a gifted comedic actor.

I agree with your assessment. Although in revisiting season 5 (and especially season 6) I've found there's still plenty to enjoy.

I was resistant at first but once I heard the groove in "Blue Boy" on the Salad Days album, I was able to get a handle on his talent for splendid melodies (similar is "Goodbye Weekend" on the same album). I'm no music expert so this is me just trying to assign words and reasons to the emotions inspired by listening,

True enough; I mildly enjoyed it (only seen it once so far) although I think my lack of context for the film may have hindered my understanding of exactly what's going on. That being said, I could immediately appreciate the weight of the performances and that a full appreciation would demand numerous rewatches.
