Some people don't understand shock humor at all. It doesn't have to be sincere, or contributing to the patriarchy etc. Sometimes it's just something absurd that everyone can laugh at, 'cause they all know it's awful. Saw this last night and loved it. I think the reviewer here tries to take it too seriously. There are tons of little silly jokes throughout, and it was a lot of fun. The joy of the movie seems to be lost in this account. I give it a solid B+.

I don't think you should jump to the conclusion that season 2 will be bad. I think the creators etc. could really hit their stride after one pass through.

I know what you're saying, but I think it could be the exact opposite — the "fully realized vision" sometimes comes after a practice season! :)
