Thanks for this article. I'd never heard of Rouch, but from the sound of it I should be looking into his documentary films, if only to see how they work as reciprocal ethnography.
I wasn't trying to say my response is the same as everyone else's, just that my broad understanding of it based on myself and other people I know who deal with it makes it something that's a lot more about daily patterns than big political decisions.
