The UAW is probably still the biggest Chrysler shareholder. They are the biggest GM shareholder. 

Since the UAW is the biggest shareholder in each of the big 3, the sad part is their profits were probably better than Chrysler’s last year. I’m sure all of that money is going back to the workers.

I’ve seen cars hit higher than 133 just from being left in the sun. What temp could they reach if they turned on the heater and left it in the sun?

I know people that max out their student loans to have enough to cover a new car payment. I feel like they are digging themselves in a hole with two shovels, but some people want to roll the dice. If the government starts forgiving student loans, I’ll be the stupid one for not borrowing money.

The U-Haul places around me will sell and install a hitch for people. I doubt they have much experience with Volvos though.

I’d call an engine seizing up on the interstate killing power brakes, power steering and somehow causing all of the electronics to go offline in the middle of nowhere 2 hours from the nearest tow truck catastrophic. Maybe it is just me, though I am not making things up.

Merc has a habit of not doing official ‘recalls’ and instead call them ‘safety campaigns.’ or some such nonsense. Just because they change the terminology to bypass the rules doesn’t make it right. 

I got a CPO 1 year old Mec C300. Six months in the engine had to be rebuilt twice. Each rebuild took one month due to waiting for parts from Germany (so for the first six months of ownership we only had the car for four months). Still have trouble with oil and coolant leaks and had to have the front axles replaced.

I was expecting more replies like, “Won’t someone think about the pedestrians? A dump truck with mustang characteristics will not be satisfied with the crowds and cars and coffee. It will be nearly unstoppable.” I came away disappointed.

I’m not even sure they were all given ‘road’ test anyways. I know Georgia used to just have a obstacle course next to the DMV. They didn’t even get in the car with the driver. They just relayed the instructions by radio and watched from the safety of the building.

I respectfully disagree. You postulate that a poor driver making poor decisions would drive differently in a less safe car. My experience is they will still make poor decisions.
