Yeah, imagine if it was illegal to track someone down and take back your own vehicle (while the article implies it is the drivers vehicle, if they borrowed money on it, it belongs to the bank/manufacturer). No one would every make a car payment again.

I saw a recent ad for a Jeep with all kind of off road mods and big tires. Then they said a selling point was ‘not driven off road.’ Are people worried if they drive their Jeeps off road, it will decrease in value?

I have heard of this law before, but I thought it was actually put into place somewhere. Too lazy to google it though.

I would add, if you are going to race your car, invest in a good fire extinguisher.
