Were they all running from the little bit of snow?

Back bay resident parking.

In Boston, Dibs is law. You get 48 hrs after a snow emergency to keep the spot.

In Boston, there is a neighborhood where they sell 5,000 street parking permits for 1,000 places to park. The city has no problem selling more permits than there are parking places. I have heard of couples taking turns circling the block until a spot opens up.

Also, getting out to video the wreck does not help the flow of traffic.

Boston traffic looks like that all the time anyway.

The one child policy has been expanded to two children in 2016, but you still have to apply to have either child and can still be denied based on income or other factors, based on my understanding.

NY will still have more tax income with Amazon than without. For your logic to work, Amazon locating to NY would have to cost the city exactly $1.7B over what Amazon will be paying in taxes. Given the agreement states all construction and other costs come from Amazon that seems unlikely. Also, since the 25,000 people

It may be semantics, but since when is giving someone a discount the same as giving them money? If I buy a $500 TV that was originally $800, I don’t believe the store gave me $300. Amazon will still be paying taxes, just not as much, but overall, NYC will have higher tax revenue with Amazon than without.

At first I agreed with you, but then I realized your plan b would make your life so much better anyway.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure the city would have to sign on for any helipad to be built. So Amazon is just getting permission up front.

They are getting twice the tax benefits. They split the HQ2 but still expect to get the full tax deduction.

Except, in China you can only have one. They can’t, legally, get married until 24-26 and normally have kids around 30, which doesn’t leave a lot of time for do overs when you can only have one at a time.

My guess is they have not upped their game on safety, because it is not important to the Chinese markets. When I visited recently it was hard to convince them that car seats for babies is a good idea, or covers for the 220V sockets, smoke detectors or not leaving pots of boiling water on the floor next to the baby....

Those guys were introduced to crash tests and quickly decided they were not ready for international markets. Pretty sure the same thing will happen here.

They did do it first...

I once left the check engine light on so long that the bulb blew. When I finally had a serious enough problem I needed to take into a shop, the mechanic spent 30 mins trying to figure out why there were so many codes but no check engine light. I couldn’t convince him the light bulb that powered the light was the

Meanwhile in Georgia, Democrats are insisting the laws be thrown out so they can win, even to the point of saying people who voted in counties where they don’t live should have their votes counted in that county. At least in previous elections the media would mention that there were tens of thousands of fake voter
