So pretty much what I said; they teach about these religions. The question about mindfulness that was originally asked likely comes down to whether they say it was something related to Buddhism or not.

The bank in my home town was robbed by a guy on a bike. He got away.

Isn’t that just demolition derby?

Counterpoint: Demolition derby is both fast and exciting with human pilots.

At least in Cambridge, MA, the school seems free to teach about any religion they want, as long as it is not Christianity. They teach about budism, humanism, judaism and islam. They hold special events on some of the holidays for the latter two.

While your son may be centered, wouldn’t this be a big distraction to the tonally challenged? It is like entering a person who is color blind into a painting contest. It just seems like a play be big music to get kids to buy more music.

  • Is mindfulness instruction replacing another, potentially more valuable, activity or resource? For instance, we know physical fitness is critical to mental and physical well-being. Are mindfulness programs taking time out of fitness? Or math instruction? Or reading? There’s only so much time in the school day.

To be fair, didn’t Suzuki score really bad on crash tests and other metrics for a while. I remember a friend that would get letters from her insurance company detailing the safest and most dangerous cars. Suzuki was always in the most dangerous category.

My drivers ed teacher was a very large man. I mean like 6'4" and 350 pounds, mostly around his waist. He was so big that the Buick the local Chevy dealer lent the school was always leaning to his side while driving, which was awkward, but manageable. Anyway, he had a brake on his side of the car and would freak out

I feel you missed the point of the article. Maybe if you talked to someone who had views you didn’t agree with, you could understand a little about them, because right now you haven’t the slightest idea what the other side is thinking.

So you’re paranoid that paranoid people are taking over the US and Europe?

In the US, they have to go through a FFL dealer. In Canada, apparently it is not required.

That’s because the author wrote it with that purpose in mind. I was in Boy scouts and my sister in Girl scouts. The description the author made doesn’t seem to represent either very well.

I must be missing your point. Black cars get hotter. The front windows and windshield are not tinted. Infrared is more easily converted to heat than UV. If you live in an area that gets hot, think southwest US, then this thing will feel like an oven. If the front seats are in direct sunlight, they can get hot enough

Imagine how hot it gets in the sun. Black leather seats on a hot day in shorts. The burns.

As a husband, this is an easy question. I’m always wrong. It was the same for my father, his father before him and his father before him. If you are a man, married to a woman and you express an opinion, you are mansplaining.

I do plan trips around cheaper gas on occasion. The problem is the town where I live has gas that is 20-30 cents/gallon more expensive than anywhere else around. At one point this year I was paying less than $2/gallon in some places and the stations in my town were still $2.49. So if I am heading out of town, I plan

Kristen,

Something like this happened in highschool, but worse. The guy next to me was eating sunflower seeds, which for whatever reason were banned and treated as severely as having tobacco at school. When he finished, he threw the cup full of evidence out the window. We were on the interstate and it hit a big rig that was
