I beat it, night before last. It is lovely.
This also would’ve been an ideal time to port this classic to Switch and make the easiest profit in the world, but then again, those FF Pixel Remasters are in the same boat. COME ON GUYS.
No explanation for anything is a staple of the souls games. I kind of like it because it encourages community driven testing and discoveries which results in an actual community forming around the game.
“I don’t want NATO at our borders!”
Found Putin’s stealth account.
How's the taste of russian cock? Does it have a hint of vodka?
I played earthbound as a rental, was so stoked they included the smelly guide.
I still have my SMB 3 issue somewhere....
oh, I remember that Nintendo Power ran a Secret of Mana guide across 3-4 issues with a similar conceit, in this case that you were reading the journal entry of the boy as he went through the game.
I love a lot of what the internet has done for the world and content, but sometimes I miss the analog days.
Oh my sweet god. I can still smell this strategy guide. I remember that faux, chemical-ish vomit smell. As a child, it almost brought me to dry-heaving.
The guide was a bonafied work of art, despite the above. You can tell they had so much fun with the design.
Really hoping for a follow up article to this about the person who called it in being prosecuted
Can you, like, cut it the fuck out with the “lazy” comments? People with physical issues could find this a godsend. For example, I can’t play games in this position any more due to cubital tunnel syndrome making it painful to lean on my left elbow. Something like this could let me transfer that weight elsewhere and…
I’m pretty sure Crunchyroll was airing only illegal fansubs in the very beginning. It’s been like 15 years so I don’t quite remember the details but I was surprised to hear of their agreements with various companies to simulcast etc. The stuff came much later. I had long written them off as “will get sued to oblivion…
To be fair, anime gained traction because of renegades making it accessible. Fansubbers, etc.
“But with fair use so ill-respected in so many territories, and YouTube creators with no control over where their content will be shared once they upload there’s certainly a long way to go.”
I’ll risk spoiling myself to block it out immediately, thanks (I will still have the spanish version to solve).
THPS without the soundtrack is the most unsettling thing ever.
How, exactly, did this “meta” originate?
Because honestly, if I were to sit around and ask myself “how could I trick as many streamers as possible into getting banned?”, this would be a pretty good answer
I personally don’t give a shit if they get banned for this. They don’t own the content, and it’s very debatable over whether they actually “elevate” or even add to the content. I don’t blame companies for stopping this.... because it’s effectively the same thing as pirating the show/movie.
