And the Honda passport I rented in Vietnam was pretty terrifying as well - Especially in city traffic.

Shit! I forgot the old Jimmy we rented in Bali that began stalling on every hill. They drove out and replaced the fuel filter in the parking lot. That car was even more twitchy, loud, and smelly.

Don’t need them but competitors offer them for for thousands less in the final price.
I test drove a GS Manual - loved it. Ended up buying a LR4
10.6 second 1/4 mile!?! Show me your pink slip!
The house across the street from me had a 30 foot long trailer parked in it’s driveway for about six months. This was not just any trailer though, this was the frame of a fifth wheel travel trailer with no siding, stacked with junk - old mattresses, old furniture, clothes. It was actually pretty hilarious. I hated…
The same for delivery drivers. Those Jimmy Johns drivers driving freaky fast have no insurance.
Yes you are correct. But, if you are driving your car for personal reasons, then they will have to extend coverage. However, there is a big gap in coverage: from the time you accept a ride in the uber app and are driving to the location to pick up the passenger you have effectively no insurance. Your personal…
My understanding is that Uber and Lyft policies will cover you from the time the rider enters the car to the time the rider exits the car. Personal policies say they will not cover you from the time a ride is hailed and you are driving toward the rider. Therefore, there is a pretty big hole in coverage that I suspect…
And for another rant, why the hell are some in-car keyboards in alphabetic order rather than QWERTY? Makes no sense.
That’s not a turbo, this is a turbo
I currently drive a 2010 LR4 and drove a 2001 Tacoma Double Cab prior to that. I’d buy this truck.
Drove an Up! in Norway last month. It was neat and practical and had heated seats, but my god was it slow. The gas pedal was more of an on-off switch. My foot was either to the floor or off the pedal completely. Incredible gas mileage. The car is great for the city - shitty for a 9 hour road trip up and down steep…
I had a scorpion pop my tire once
Race car drivers are just like us! They use doors. They slam doors. They use their hazard lights in all the wrong situations.
By your logic no one should ever leave the safety of the womb. It’s a fucked up approach to life and one that is gaining in popularity. Rear ended by a inattentive driver? You’re partially at fault for ever being born. It’s shameful and it’s an outlook that is tearing apart society.
Hi let’s victim shame. Cool thanks.
I like it! Yes it looks less like an icon and more like every other SUV on the road today. But it looks like it retains a tall greenhouse, great off road capability, and still has hints of the LR4/Disco 4. What other mid size SUV can tow over 8000lbs? not many.
My LR4 loves visiting the local dealership, gets terrible gas mileage, and is completely impractical. But I absolutely love it. The boxy shape makes it incredibly space efficient. I like the new one but it certainly loses some of the quirky charm that the Discovery has had in the past.
