I bought a 2018 Chevy Volt for $17,500 in July. Last week I received a $27k offer for it from Carvana.

San Juan, Puerto Rico. Mitsubishi Mirage Technica (local trim level). I’ve never owned one, but these were everywhere in PR growing up, and are still all over the island today.

If there are forums, facebook groups, and dedicated IG accounts... there’s enthusiasts.

I genuinely like the leaf and am considering one to replace my Volt once it's gone out to pasture.

I'm friends with a former service advisor there, and he told me that the loaner for the exotics is supposed to be an Escalade, but there have been times when Rolls Royce owners for a joke request a Hyundai loaner and end up getting it.

This exact GTI. It made the rental car the best thrill ride in a trip to Orlando.

“In my world, if there’s a title issue, they call once or twice,” said Brian Kramer, general manager of Germain Toyota of Naples, Fla. “Then, they’re standing outside my office, staring at me until I get off the phone.”

As a resident of Florida and person who previously worked for one of the largest auto insurers in the state, judging by this person’s reaction, I can guarantee you that she’s either not insured, or insured with the state minimum liability coverage which will not even begin to pay for the damage on a lambo.

BECM IIRC is covered by 5 year powertrain and from what I’ve ready is a one-time fix; meanwhile shift-to-park is being covered under 8 yr Voltec warranty, and

Pre-this market, I’d aim for sticker price as an out-the-door number, and would usually get it.

KBB’s other data says that many people are willing to switch brands and categories and from new to used and from foreign to domestic

A few months back when I was looking for a new daily, I actively seeked out a clean low-priced ELR, and nearly got one with 76k miles for $16k. But I ran away after seeing the price of a replacement HV battery.

Already did. They gave me 5 months to get this resolved and promised a 5 month extension if needed. At almost 3 months in, still waiting for the Nevada DMV.  Original lienholder already sent a letter of no interest and is being more helpful than they have any right to be for someone who isn't their customer.

Just wanted to add - as someone who purchased an out-of-state lease return a few months back (Nevada car returned in Florida), one thing to keep an eye out as a purchaser of these cars are extended times for DMV transactions to clear. Right now I’m on my second temp tag/a week from requesting a third from the dealer,

Except one is a luxury EV that no one actually needs, and the other is a vaccine which could mean the literal choice between life and death.

Which is what my daily driver is.
