I considered myself to be a generally conscious consumer, but that show made me question the deeper consequences of decisions I make.

Also a very VERY valid point.

you either love Tesla and all the connotations it comes with, or you’re suspicious of what it’s peddling”

In my case, at my current apartment (and as an option in my next apartment), I charge overnight at 110v, which is fine for me, since I work from home and most of my driving is in-town to run errands (although I am jonesing to take the Volt on a road trip - right now my wife’s CUV is our road trip vehicle). When I want

I'd say Thurs/Fri/Sun/Mon, due to people at either end of the turnpike taking a long weekend.

I know. It was posted sarcastically.

How’s this look?

My '13 with a manual transmission is Meh+.

That’s just amazing. Our CR-V had a single tear in a seat but the interior was otherwise clean, but the paint was faded and chipped, and had dings on every single panel.

Level 2, J1772 plugs.

I comparison shop every six months on renewal. I'll comparison shop when renewal time comes up.

“trade in your car, it is worth something”

Some manufacturers - most infamous for this Mercedes and BMW - have written into their franchise agreements that cars cannot be exported. To the point of taking action against dealers. IIRC, One dealer in Miami attempted to sell a small fleet of 3-series a few years back and BMW caught wind before the deal happened.

What's he got to do with it?

One dealer gave me a ridiculous lowball offer.  Carmax and Carvana both offered me more than I paid for it 2 years ago.

I’ve been calling around for deals on a new Caddy CT4 or a new Bolt EUV (I like a variety of cars). I’ve been able to get to MSRP, but no dealer wants to honor discounts I’m entitled to through work. The one dealer that said “sure” proceeded to add a market adjustment for the exact same amount of the discount.

Hertz was a shit company before they went bankrupt.  This is not surprising.

FYI though, Puerto Rico requires proof of vaccination + 2 weeks, or a negative PCR test.  Failure to do those will result in a $300 fine and quarantine until a negative test result arrives (fine will be waived if the negative test result arrives within 72 hours)

There’s a Kia dealer in Florida, Hollywood Kia, that regularly has used exotics and high end luxury cars for sale.

Oddly enough, no issues with the power locks on my Mk3. Just the windows. I got so sick of replacing the motors and regulators, that I had my mechanic do a handcrank conversion.
