Got it. So lease it or rent it, but never, EVER, buy it.

Mini Clubman S

Thanks, it’s Forest Green though.

Seems somewhat relevant, so here’s my old 2pointSlow mk3 Jetta, which my dad fully restored as a passion project after I moved to the mainland US. Not fast, but it’s fun to drive at the limit and likely the only reliable water cooled VW ever made.

Thank you. I thought I was going nuts

Am I losing my mind, or are there two coil packs missing from the top of the 1.4?

“I will eat an entire delicious cuban sandwich as penance.”

I use it for my car - they have about 10-15 stations that go well with my musical tastes, plus the comedy and political talk stations.

This happened to me last year - getting rid of my manual car due to multiple ankle injuries to both of my ankles. However my budget was a bit higher and I had a preapproval at 1.44% through my credit union.

NP.

$2500 + wagon + an extra $100 if I show up at my PDR place with donuts and beers for after work = NP.

I really thought about buying the basic Model 3. I even got preapproved for financing through Alliant, and put $2500 aside for the deposit. But I decided to hold off until I saw some on the road, or read about people receiving theirs.

I’ve found a good dealer not far from me who always has an oil change coupon on their website which brings the cost to within $5 of doing it myself.  Since then, I’ve stopped changing my own oil.

I’ve got an FA20DIT wrx, and I’ve been researching topside oil changes on this - so far, the subie geeks I’ve spoken to have told me no... which sucks, since the oil filter is so conveniently located.

They’re awesome

We had four of these when I was a kid in Puerto Rico. They were reliable and perfectly rugged for our shitty roads. We’d take them up to the mountains pretty regularly, and they never missed a beat.

I see plenty of them, but I also live in a large crowded city where it’s more practical than a large car or SUV.

NP. And I even considered buying it, but I live in Miami, and LA is too f!@#ng far to road trip a 30 year old French car from.
