I agree with regards to the R50/53 interiors, but they’ve improved with each generation to the point that my F56S surpasses VW interior quality and is comparable to non-luxury non-US-market BMWs

Aside from some teething issues which were resolved under warranty (my F56S was a very early build, it was one of the launch event press cars), my 2014 F56S has been extremely reliable. Even with modifications, I’ve had no issues since the early build quality issues. And none of the early issues affected features…

The Arteon will be a hell of a buy in three years, as a lease-return CPO with three years of VW’s bumper to bumper warranty remaining + another two years of CPO warranty.
