I worked at Wendy’s for while. I went between several stores in our area and literally every single one was pristine. Food was fairly high quality for fast food at that price too.

I had a cat who was very food motivated. I taught him to come when called, sit on command, beg and high five. He learned very quickly just by using treats, petting and a pretty consistent routine. I tried teaching him to stay but that never worked. I miss the little guy (kidney disease sucks, but he survived over a…
We have a cat that also attention deficit, he feels he doesn’t get nearly enough attention. He’s constantly in your face, sitting on your lap, even if he’s not ON your lap, he’ll sit next to you and put one paw on your leg , has to be touching you.
I have a friend who’s a professional dog trainer (clicker training), so I now have two cats that will sit on command, come when called, and beg for a treat. I’m still working on the third cat. He’s a little attention deficit. :D
To paraphrase Douglas Adams…
Believe it or not, cats can be trained. In fact, a new study suggests even older cats who seem set in their ways can…
Kaepernick donated $1 million dollars last year to causes he supported. JJ Watt raised millions for a cause he supported. But yeah, you’re right. Empty gestures.
Took you long enough to say it. You just want them to protest in a way that’s convenient for you and your beliefs. Just say so next time.
So what if I am in my home and the music is on TV and I have a flag in my house?
“Here’s me, being pissy that not everyone is enraged at the same things I am.”
Side note- why is the NFL still non-profit?
KNEEL!!!!
So I will use this as an opportunity to bring this up, it’s something that has been in my head for some time now. It really belongs on Deadspin, but I don’t think I am welcome there.
You mean the hundreds of communications satellites that are already in orbit, whose owner/operators would love to rent out for limited transmission time, would not work?
What’s truly inconceivable is that the Malaysian authorities waited five weeks before handing the captain’s personal 777 flight simulator to investigators. As you probably know, that simulator contained save files of flights out into the middle of the Indian ocean.
I don’t want to be “that guy” - but it looks like I’m going to be: Finding this airplane was impossible from the outset. It was a massive waste of time, resources, and money to continue as long as they did. After 14 days, it was a wrap. Even if there were survivors, they would have surely been dead at that point.
What would be the theoretical lifespan of a black box at the bottom of the ocean? Let’s say someone miraculously finds it a decade from now, would the data inside be retrievable?
I can only agree. I mean there is some recorded data on the plane’s black box (which funny enough isn’t actually black), but in order to get to that data you have to find said black box.
All the stuff you mentioned is 100% possible today with technology. money is the issue here.
What MH370 teaches us is the need for better methods to track planes, and ideally to have ongoing telemetry transmission to enable troubleshooting and post-incident analysis.
