Jesus, I... that's... um.... they... uh.... *yells into pillow for 5 minutes*

I use this exact phrase more than I probably should but damn if it doesn't fill me with joy every time.

This kills me. My family is very religious but I've always refused to hide my atheism from them. I'd hate myself for that (not saying you should or anything, your situation is your situation). Luckily it hasn't really put a strain on our relationship aside from the initial argument, although they both delude

You are my hero. Luckily my parents allowed me to play video games but I would have literally done anything to get around that had they not.

Make friends with someone who works in a restaurant. Or someone with visible tattoos.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 might be what you're looking for. It's half gothic/ half modern in setting. Lords of Shadow 1 is straight up Euro-fantasy, but it's a cool mix of Celtic, Gothic, and tribal styles. I honestly don't understand the hate these games get. Lords of Shadow 1 had a bad camera system (that they

Chrome uses a shitload of memory. Plus, if I'm not mistaken (and I could be) you can't put adblock plus on chrome. So I use waterfox, which is firefox optimized for 64 bit processors. I like it and I don't like ads so I guess I'll stick with it.

Yup. It's tough being a Fromsoft fanboy...

Sometimes people you love do shitty things. Sometimes you still love them afterwards. Sometimes it takes a while to realize that you don't love them anymore, and that they never were the person you thought they were. What I see in those chat logs is a woman who did love her rapist, and who wanted desperately to go

I got this exact punishment myself... from nature... when I was 17. Thanks genetics!

I totally agree, and I'm not in a big rush to tell people I'm a feminist unless that happens to be the topic of conversation. I wholeheartedly agree that actions speak way louder than words when it comes to feminism, or just social issues in general.

I've never raped someone, WHERE'S MY FUCKING MEDAL?

Context is important, to be sure. And I can totally get how depending on context a man identifying as a feminist can go from awesome to creepy. I just don't want to see the baby thrown out with the bathwater :)

I think like KingMob said, if "allied with feminism" becomes the new preferred terminology, then the creeps will just start saying that. I think it's needlessly verbose and still makes a strange distinction: "I don't think women deserve equal treatment as men but I'm allied with those who do." Errrr... not the

That seems kind of strange to me, when you have an effort to reclaim the label. So many people are "afraid" of the word feminist, and I don't think that will change by making MORE people afraid to use the word.

I hate that that has been your experience. I identify as a male feminist myself and wish I could convince you we're not all bad guys, but I know that a conversation on the internet is not able to do that. We're out there though, promise! I feel like the other posters who say they want to talk more than they want to

Male feminist here, and I don't much care for your comment. Obviously there are creeps like the guys in the article but some of us are decent people, promise. Please don't paint with too broad of a brush. You have a right to be skeptical of people you meet but please don't attack anonymous strangers who are allies in

If you're doing a Pascal's wager sort of thing, I think atheists actually come out on top. If God is real and you go to hell for not believing in Her, then at least you had a life to do with what you wanted. If God isn't real, then Christians are wasting the only thing they will ever have, their lives.

There is only one true knight and his name is Pink Knight.
