Thinking about it, the Skins format would have been an excellent approach for these characters.

So I vaguely remember the Archie comics from my pre teens which is an odd 11 years ago that I read ever so often. It came in our daily newspaper in the form of strips, so I didn't understand this was a cohesive story or universe. The angst years came and technology came to the forefront so I never looked back. In a…
Yes, this is exactly how I see it.
"If you’re the sort of person who’s into this, you’re going to be more than willing to overlook the flaws". A concept Zack doesn't or won't embrace. I hope we get someone who's into this series book to streaming adaption as much as the majority fans.
I hope this happens. Zack does his job, but I can't with his reviews. So jarring. I still read it though, he does make interesting points ever so often.
This get's my vote.
I actually can't recall the majority of the Penultimate Peril and have never been able to read The End as big as a fan I am, on account of never being able find it in my school or public library and the bookstores where I am never had the complete collection. I went 11 years without a spoiler for the Baudelaire's…
Agreed, Ersatz Elevator and Vile Village being my standouts along with the Slippery Slope down the line.
I like Alfre Woodard and her dramatic theatre approach to acting, but I felt her Aunt Josephine was way too over the top in some aspects, that I found it irritating to fully immerse myself in TWW arc. The scene at The Anxious Clown was a highlight.
I read Rebels reviews from time to time, which has had had it ups and downs with the occasional stellar plot driven episodes and I try to watch them, but the colourful animation has a irritating effect on me. I can't seem to get over Clone Wars and that 3D animation. SWTCW made me a Stars Wars fan.
Being a bit of an anglophile, I've religiously not missed a Graham Norton episode on a Saturday morning on YouTube for 5 years. It's the best talk show with celebrities of any form.
You are right on Connolly's Monty in that he was such a welcoming, tender figure that his death resonated as far more horrific. I absolutely adored Aasif in this role however and while his initial death didn't resonate, it's the reactions from the Baudelaire's.
I've come to realize Zack reviews are almost all mixed toned, a bit too analytical and that's exactly his job for the most part. Doesn't seem to be a fan slowburner plots.
Your reply prompted me to pick up my hard copy of TBD, which I haven't read in a while and you are infact correct. It's a bit peculiar that I recall most plot points from books 2-11 but The Bad Beginning just never stuck around. While somewhat of a neutral fan of the movie my highlights was the burning of the…
Actually it's the one I was most compelled to, too the point that I rolled eyes when Dolores and William came back, not that the storyline isn't intriguing.
So, whatever Arnold's up to, I'm in his court. I look at Ford the same Theresa looked at him, a monster. While he may protecting the park and it's code Delos who might be worse for humankind, his demeanor and over all god complex is enough for me to want to see him crash and burn.
So…. on a late rainy night 6 months from now, when I've watched out all my primetime and streaming shows who'll be on hiatus. Maybe….Just maybe I'll consider watching this finale but I'll have to finish off S4ep2 also.
And I quote "While it’s been a few years since I read the source material" . I love AVC, but there's glaring issues when it comes to proofreading articles.
It could always be a lot better, but I figure I'd suspend my sense of belief where Sunny is concerned.
I was waiting for that lighthouse scene which was a highlight in the original media, but that twist with the hand and Klaus explanation was quite clever deviation. Also as the show goes on I quite like the young actor who plays our second Baudelaire.
