I agree with you, being an immense fan of Person of Interest and Jonathan Nolan's ability to weave smaller Arcs/beats interconnecting to a much larger story/plot over the course of seasons, resulting in grandiose payoffs is exactly why I'm taking the show as is, in all it's atmospheric moods, vague implications and

Well you know…..

It may be so in some cases.

A bit unsettling perhaps, but as an immense fan it was my honest initial reaction. Also I'm practically a year out of being a teen which is no excuse, but I'd say I'm allowed to have a child like wonder towards some things.

I did, I was like these guys have planned this out, there was also the a nod to the triplets.

There was so many Easter eggs, I've read the books so much that at the first mention or glance, I started squealing. They've meticulously thought about this for the long run because I was catching stuff that doesn't even come up till book 9-10.

I don't often comment on the reviewers writing but great job Zac on integrating Snicket/Handlers writing in your review. It makes it much more enjoyable, also your a book reader which is a plus.

It's exactly how the first book was, with regards to narrative exposition. Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket is spot on from his delivery to presence.

I have waited 11 years for this. I was giddy with excitement throughout each episode, and just geeking and squealing over at every part that was faithful to the books, and for where there was creative liberty, I nodded and went along because not everything would work.

You know I was sitting here watching this, and all I kept saying "Where the hell is Thea?" "How is she missing out after 2 episodes?"

On board for Season 2, bring on the intrigue.

Oh my god. This f**king show is so enchanting.

Oh, you wait…….

Gahhh, I’m so chuffed, #TheChildren was all kinds of exciting. Epic set Up to S5

I felt underwhelmed as a non book reader and Todd's review explains why.

Really, honestly I was underwhelmed.

"I love you enough to kill you"

I actually find her funny, her crude humor/retort, pushing the boundary rudeness is different than the usual (somewhat generic) comic. I religiously watch the show for her & the roundtable and I'll miss the show.

Caliban is a dick.

I'm trying to tone down the amount of obscenities I use daily so, mines were mostly alternatives.
A few fucks managed to slip in when Abigail got neck hugged. But I mostly flailed, gasped, shrieked.
