I looked at the way the kid cringed, pulled away from his father when sitting next to him and my thoughts instantly went to abusive dad. Even without the long sleeves.

I'm not sure I agree. We watch a procedural because we know the structure but we keep watching it because we like extras.
Actually rigid adherence to patterns of behaviour, like always dressing the same - same colour shirts, always buttoned to the top - is one of the things on the diagnostic list. There are qualifiers of course, if you're a cop in uniform it wouldn't be an indicator unless your off-duty clothes were always the same.
I'm ok with it to *some* extent. There are enough threads going on you probably have to tell some. But ffs, Sherlock's girlfriend gets a 'previously on Elementary' segment in case we've forgotten who she is!
I agree with that for things where you're out in a crowd, like the cafe assassination and the bike into the assassin guy. For breaking and entering, a less startling and eye-catching wig might have been a better choice though. You don't want people thinking wtf is that over there? Why is that woman breaking into that…
So Liv, Gilda and Peyton in lesbian ménage à trios? Oh my!
Blaine is utterly despicable. He's also really nice. I'd like to meet him, have dinner with him, but I wouldn't take any money just in case! Vaughn doesn't have the redeeming feature of being charming.
I like Gilda as a character in the ensemble, a plot device if you will, while I'd hate her if I knew her. I'm kind of struggling to see a good way to make zombie Gilda and Liv team up. I can see Gilda wanting revenge on Vaughn alright, but Liv has a really personal grudge and has to see a really big gain to forgive…
Definitely b. It was so underwritten it had to be a Easter egg, fans of the book will have seen the name of the group, got get name of the members and gone oh yes. Old school Traveller players will have gone 'really?' Everyone else probably went 'wtf? When did I miss that?'
I'm old, who played on Garden State's soundtrack?
I might have gone A- but despite some lousy episodes the last few (since Brakebills South really) it's really found its straps and had a pretty good run, lazy Bury Your Gays story notwithstanding. It is really quite different to the books (despite the name it's vaguely adapting the first two) and I struggle with how…
I'm not arguing that. Bury your Gays doesn't look at that, it's about the disproportionate number of gay characters that die - that is are killed by the script-writers - not how they die in the story.
There is, but "Bury your Gays" doesn't count the whys and wherefores of the deaths, just notes the disproportionate numbers of gay characters that get killed off.
There is a lot of violence against women on TV and you're right about the streak, and Lisa should really have picked up on it. But there's a crazily disproportionate number of LGBT characters that get killed on TV, so much so that there's a whole Bury your Gays trope, which is wider than things like the Evil/Dead…
Not oath-breaking, they haven't sworn that oath. Nick's ancestor's did, but I don't feel bound by the oaths my ancestors from 800 years ago swore that I don't know about. Do you?
I used to agree with this. I'm finding the writing for Watson increasIngly frustrating and the interaction between the two is very comfortable and polished yes, but it's lacking vibrancy in my eyes. Morland has shaken things up a bit but I'm thinking come the end of the season Elementary will slide off my viewing…
Ah, I was thinking the other way. Grimms kill wesen, what if the SPOD only heals wesen but is something the crusader Grimms consider holy? Part of them would want to destroy it because healing wesen is clearly bad, but it's a holy artefact so destroying it is sacrilege. Meanwhile the Royals obviously want to be able…
It was evidence, didn't they watch CSI? Rip it off and put it in an evidence bag!
I just posted a reply to the same question above… Not going to repost but you might want to scan up from here.
I can't promise you'll like it, but I gritted my teeth and stuck through some eps I hated and now I'm feeling like its come good.
