I don’t really get MS’s point...
They say they want to merge mobile and desktop platforms.
There are Win based phones.
There are phones based on X86 HW (Intel Atom).

What about sound quality?
Some slim TV sets sounds just crappy. Of course you can always buy a soundbar or something, but still it can be disappointing to realize that your 40 years old Sony trinitron had so much better speakers.
