Interesting point. I'm not sure the tech disparity is that big though. And if we ever reach the point where computers are all that really matters in war, I have a feeling we'll all be fucked anyway. Because it will be us against the computers.

Abba dabba deeba dubba doobita bo, church on the upper west side.

The rust belt states, the ones that switched over, want tariffs. And protectionism is the traditional Democratic position. You know, standing by the working class and all that. It needs to be our position again. Moreso than the Republican candidate, at minimum.

Yes! Very very much. But I mean FDR-type liberal, or Bernie-type liberal. The states that got Trump elected were blue states until now. Trump won by going left of her on the issues that mattered in those states. Clinton's problem was not being liberal enough, which weakened her base. She also picked the wrong

Perhaps not, but I don't advise seeking reassurance in that notion.

Please tell me they don't have 1,497,611 articles about this.

I suspect there are quite a few pedophiles in politics, on both sides. It's not a partisan issue. If it were, I suspect it would not be favorable to the right wing. Historically, sexual crusading and sexual deviance tend to go together. Ever read The Scarlet Letter? Spoilers, I guess.

Major cities can't produce much food, so that's a problem. Another problem with any liberal-conservative civil war is the gap in firearms skills. Plus the fact that the military is notably conservative. Civil war does not sound like a good plan, not for our side anyway.

I enjoy making up weird scat lyrics to that song.

Saltwater dissolved them, that's all I remember. And their names sounded like sneezing.

Oh wow. I know her primarily from Nightmare on Elm Street 3, the scene where Freddy inhabits Dick Cavett.

Neither am I but it's a Sunday dammit.

I think the prequels are underappreciated, especially the political aspects. My biggest complaint remains the lack of actual Clone Wars taking place on screen. The cartoon was solid enough to uplift the prequels in retrospect but it was too late at that point. There should have been one movie, maybe two, focusing

My legacy account was busted, then got better, but I'm sticking with this one for convenience. Mostly I like being able to respond from the notification page. I also like existing on multiple sites, even though I still only comment here. Maybe one day.

It was.

That goes back to an actual Reagan-era mandate for characters who question authority to be presented in a bad light.
