@Lion_Knight: If they get rid of Ash, they have to get rid of Pikachu, and I highly doubt they'll be getting rid of the most popular character in the whole pokemon universe.

Are those Apple decals I see to stick on the back of your iPad?

Oh hey, look they have the same shitty design for the charging cable as on my iPhone 3G.

I have red and blue 3D goggles and the 3D goggles view is set up so there's a few different planes of depth. So stuff in the distance feels vaguely like it's farther away, but cars get cut in half. It's not really convincing.

@ryusage: A 'development machine' wouldn't be a laptop. I'm a game developer myself, and I can tell you that source code would be stored on a central server which all of the coders access, not on individual laptops.

You know there's something that doesn't make sense about this story.

@PlatinumR: Actually you do get less of a sentence for trying to steal something and failing. What planet do you live on? Havn't you ever heard of ATTEMPTED robbery?

@UERD: There is absolutely no reason why the developer would have the game's source code on a laptop they're using to demo the game.

Oh and another thing.... I notice the Kotaku fish is covering up the dude's social security number. Does this mean that anyone who has been accused of a crime is ripe for having their identity stolen? Did the police really not redact that bit of information before passing the report along?

This is rediculous. Larceny over $250? 14 megabytes of a 4gb game is worth exactly SQUAT.

I hope Nintendo has more imagination than the people who came up with these concepts.

@bakagaijin: As someone else pointed out, a lot of folks here are probably young and don't have steady jobs. I pirated the hell out of games for my Commodore 64 back in the day. And I rented every single nintendo game that came out because it was cheaper than buying them and most times I'd play a game for a week and

@icy_one: If you look at the architectural rendering, you will see that they actually have designed those 'side roads' into the thing. Each ramp that enters has a second ramp to the right which takes you directly to the adjacent exit.

I'm impressed that he's managed to completely rid himself of that vocal tic he had, where he'd end every sentance with "mmm... click".

Where does the blame lie? What kind of a loaded question is that? No pun intended. The blame lies squarely on the parents for leavign a loaded gun sitting around.

@DocSeuss: Have you missed all the hubbub the last two days? Valve updated the game with some radios, the radios played sounds when you did things with them. The sounds contained slow scan tv signals in the audio and morse code. The morse code contained messages. The tv signals contained images. The images

How does a company with properties like those go bankrupt? Surely they could have raised several million selling the IP rights to Gauntlet alone.

@Brinsley :): People who haven't got a clue about how games are developed and what a game tester's job actually is.
