It sounds like the reason they quit was something akin to "What's my motivation?"

Reading through the gear list, it appears to be equipment and accessories for a specific type of assistant working in a specific field of photography. An array of various tripod adapters would do me little to no good on a shoot, whereas a rocket blower would be invaluable.

So in other words, it makes my Facebook profile look as random and unorganized as the NYT? Yeah, that is awesome ...

You likely won't be happy with these for casual music listening. Between my Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 system at home and my (evidently much-maligned) KRK Rokit 5 G2's here at work, the Klipsch system is much better (and half the price) for music reproduction at home.

The unique electronic/optical viewfinder and the large-senor image quality are what the X100 brought to the table, and although it has a slightly smaller sensor, I'd think those would be the big selling points (for me) on the X50. However, it's still not enough to get me to replace my S90.

The USDA says 98% of U.S. farms are family farms. It's just that a family farm may not look exactly like American Gothic. I worked for a farm a few summers that was a father/son outfit mostly, but it was structured as several LLC's for various reasons.
