Hurray for longtime lurkers!
Yup, it's still Disqus. I think the full kinjification is happening around noon today.
I've been a regular reader of this site for about a dozen years, almost entirely as a lurker. I got this account mostly so I could toss some upvotes around. A million thanks to the commenters and staff for the years of entertainment, education, and general civility so rarely found online.
Longtime lurkers and lately commenters, this is the thread to use for all the AV Club in jokes that you never got to use:
But nobody calls him anymore, except for… Oh.
I've been meaning to listen to the complete Glenn Gould Solitude Trilogy for a while, but there just never seems to be the right time to put on three hours of overlapping voices. Seeing it on your list here I've decided that, instead than putting it off for another day, I'm putting it on right now.
We're beyond satire.
If you like in depth but fun musician interviews, check out the Turned Out A Punk podcast. I loved James Murphy on The Best Show, but now I really want to hear him on TOAP.
I think it's time for me to give Slay-Z another chance. It didn't grab me right away and sometimes I just leave those albums alone, even from artists that I really like. That said, I slept on M3LL155X for almost a year because it didn't like it on first listen, but now I love it.

Yeah, in Italy it's pronounced bunga.
Fitting that Ernie The Kinja Tech is likely the last AVC Disqus meme.
I was actually wondering if that was my old next door neighbour. At any rate, if we're talking Menno, we're all related somehow…
Just finished the Clint Howard episode of Amazing Collosal Podcast and was pleasantly surprised to find AV's own Will Harris making an appearance with a write in question. Good question by Will and solid ep overall!
*starts chant* GATTICA! GATTICA! GATTICA!
Oh wow
Sure, she lives there now, but we claim her as Canadian. I'll never forget when, by the blue TV screen light, she drew a map of Canada with my face on it. Twice.
I'm a white guy outside of the target age range and I recommend that you give season 1 a try. In watching it, just accept the fact that you're not going to catch every detail and nuance that the show packs in. There is definitely stuff that goes over my head, but I consider this a plus because I have the opportunity…
Bass solo. Take one.
Great article! I really liked the overlap that he discovered between spirituality and checkers, of all things. The expression of his genius and the description of his life reminded me of a biography that I read of the pianist Glenn Gould. He was a unique genius of musical interpretation and expression, but the…
