I know this is the "poor Edith" show, but she really deserves an upbraiding for her treatment of Mrs Drewe and no mistake. I know this is the set up for Daisy's Mr Mason to take over, but what a shitty thing to do the Drewe family

I believe in his acceptance speech, he gives quite a bit of credit to his horse for the win.

Did anyone else get big "Temple of Doom" vibes from the final reveal? I kept waiting for Sher to scream, "See you in hell, Moriarty!" I was actually pretty relieved when M called him out on the theatricality. The thought of Freeman in that 'stache saying, "No time for love, Sherlock Holmes!" I couldn't stop

They went totally Temple of Doom there, I kept waiting for Sher to scream "See you in hell, Moriarty!" I was a bit relieved actually when the big M started mocking him for his overly dramatic scenario. Plus, the thought of Watson (Freeman with that 'stache) "No time for love, Sherlock Holmes." They had me at hello.

So, kind of like an SNL style come up through the ranks system? That's an interesting idea, though I don't know that the BBC would trust a franchise as big as Doctor Who to a system like that. Maybe I underestimate their risk tolerance. But I understand where you're coming from in wanting to shake things up more

So who do you have in mind that's in a position to take over Dr Who? I'm not being snarky, I'm genuinely curious. I've enjoyed most of Moff's tenure, more so than RTD, no offense, just my preference. I'd hate to see a gifted story teller who has a great feel for this character and universe hurried out the door and

Statistically speaking that is a false premise, but since the measure is subjective rather than objective, I'll give it to you.

Yes, Moffat is going to step down at some point, though apparently not soon enough for some. Though who he thinks these "better writers" are is a mystery to me.

You must be my bizarro twin, because your opinion is the opposite of mine in every way.

I think the only thing I really need from this next movie is a good old fashioned ObiWan ghost pep talk from McGregor. I really hope it happens. It would suck to ostensibly leave out the best thing from the prequels just because they were the prequels. Although I know it doesn't make a ton of sense since Luke

depends on where they take this, if the next 2 are brilliant, this will be more fondly remembered, if they botch them, it will be a nice effort, but the beginning of the end, and in retrospect the seams will have shown. I get what the critics are saying about wishing it stood alone better, but I have a lot more hope

Episode 1 was problematic for a lot of reasons, and none of the flaws this movie has are even remotely on par with Episode 1's flaws. Not to say this movie is not flawed, that would be ridiculous, but I don't think it's as bad as some people seem to want it to be. I'm not a Trekkie, so I have no frame of reference

I saw it with 2 ten year old boys and had the time of our lives. Don't overthink this guys, just roll with it.

Honestly, this movie does suffer if you start thinking about it too hard, so just don't. Just feel it and love it. JJ does some really nice things and the cast is excellent.

That's just because you aren't listening to the Andrea Bocelli/Muppets version of this. Seriously, the tonal shifts are probably reminicent of a badly driven sleigh.

You may have inadvertantly salvaged this song for me, Brava!

I bought the "Keep Calm, I'm the Doctor." lanyard a few years ago. I wear it at work everyday. Couldn't resist.

Much better, the moon nearly decapitating JGL during the song was classic muppets, animal and dave having a drum off. much better use of guest stars with good a and b stories to boot.

Pretty sure Missy was the last one with the confession dial, but I'll have to check that again. Maybe she's teamed up with Rassilon again?

I love this show. I don't even know where to start. I know it's based on the Cohen universe, but the shades of Misery thrown in were fantastic. Ed "You gotta stop stabbing him." That's right, Ed, that's right. And then, just when you think Ed's the one you're going to empathize the most with, Hanzee shows up,
