I always figured the philosophical reasons behind who can/can’t use the word are far less important than that I respect and love the Black people of the world enough to not use a word they’ve asked me not to use.

The comment released by her former employers was pretty un-bullshitty which was amazing. I hope it included something about asking their residents to report on any experiences they had with her or any other employee because as everyone was saying, there is no way this was the first time she has been racist.
