Did anyone else notice that, before he filled it with chili and peeps, Chidi’s shopping cart had several cartons of almond milk in it? Clearly he doesn’t care anymore about the environmental consequences of his actions.
My greatest disappointment with this episode is Corbin Bernsen. Why bring in a great name actor for a one-off scene who we’ll never see again?
I still really and truly hope this show ends with David Rosen arresting every single on of the main characters.
Really hoping the preview for next week isn’t another tease, I don’t know how much longer they can drag out Lucifer keeping the truth from Chloe without it getting ridiculous. Just show her those wings man .
Seriously, no mention of the fact that McNally Sagal’s character’s name was Margo Channing? That’s some serious iZombie level naming there!
Shandling was always quick to cite both Benny and Burns as influences.
George Burns used to do something similar on the old Burns and Allen Show. He’d be in his chair and wonder what some of the other characters were up to, so he’d turn his TV on to watch them.
The through-the-looking-glass meta-sitcom shenanigans of It’s Garry Shandling’s Show, the backstage talk-show tumult of The Larry Sanders Show. We take such lack of a fourth wall for granted in 2018
It was totally false and wrong. Jack’s dad was Ambassador to the UK, his sister married into the British aristocracy, and he already knew Elizabeth since she was a Princess before the war. Yeah, he would have known the proper address. Similarly, Jackie was a stickler for etiquette and ceremonial form, something of…
It felt like Michael C Hall was doing Nixon not Kennedy, with the gravely voice and learing, it was weird.
Philip’s mini-tantrum about how everyone was so annoyed with him as a possible match for Elizabeth even though he was a prince with blood ties to Queen Victoria was a nice re-enforcement of how much has changed relatively quickly.
Tommy Lascelles is among my favourite characters in the whole series. As someone who has been around the Royals for 30 years, he knows excatly how to deal with each of them and more or less doesn’t have to worry about being fired.
I’ve not seen the episode yet but one of my favourite stories about the whole thing was Churchill discovering that Edward/David was still in France and refusing to come back in the face the Wehrmacht assault.
My two cents: there is no such thing as a Nazi sympathizer. If you have a group of people consisting of one Nazi and six of his sympathizers, what you have is seven Nazis.
I laughed pretty hard at how Tom Ellis played that split second of over-the-shoulder doubt and panic when Pierce/Cain still wasn’t coming back to life - “holy shit what have I done!?”
“Hey, dickheads... how come the only one helping me out is this random girl?”
You really need not go further than “Kinja sucks”. It’s a broken system designed to fracture online communities.
Just some random observations:
"This is the crack team that foils my every plan?"
