I don't think the gem in those screencaps is pink diamond. It's the wrong shape. We might consider that a diamond shape, but only because that's how they are commonly cut in order to refract the light nicely.

Bismuth said that Rose was "made right here in the dirt" - does that mean she was created on Earth? For some reason, I had always assumed she was created on Homeworld and then came to appreciate Earth's beauty, but maybe the fact that Earth is kind of her home had something to do with it too.

I don't know about that - from what we've seen so far, none of the humans (besides Greg and Connie) seem very aware of magical happenings or the Gems. It was basically just "Yay, the ocean is back, the end."
