I feel like it warranted at least a “ZMF did not respond to a request for comment”

But could the astronauts see him from the space station?

If the waitstaff stay an hour after closing, does the restaurant have to pay those servers at least minimum wage for that hour?  There’s no way they’re getting tipped in a closed restaurant to make up the difference in pay if they’re not.

Oh, don’t get me wrong: just one day of that would be brutal, let alone five. I was just picturing these guys running along at a pretty good clip.

I think I can approve of that method, so long as they’re doing it alone, locked away in a room with padded walls.

Eh, I guess.  The kids in The Long Walk did

I did as well.  The start and end points are very close together (for a ~300 mile race).  I agree that the article was fantastic, but it would have benefited from a race map.

Luis really buried the lede there.  The entire story was awful to begin with, but knowing the age makes it so much worse.

Still, at five days straight, perhaps there’s room for a little more emphasis on the “agonizingly” than the “slow”

Your comment prompted me to do the math.  You could walk 4 mph for 19 hours a day, still get six hours of sleep a night, and finish with time to spare.  The poor boys in “The Long Walk” had to maintain that pace without the six hours of sleep a night.

The 10pm start time seemed odd to me, until I realized I’d rather run all night at the outset than during the home stretch on day 5.

Maybe cool it with the “head rolling” there, Robespierre.

Have you seen Woody Johnson sing “You’ll Be Back” to Jets fans that claim to be giving up on the team?  Fantastic theatre.

Terrific economy of words in this one.

There’s a charity I donated to directly, one time, about four years ago.  Every other month since then I receive a multi-page plea for more money.  Several times a year there’s like two dollars worth of quarters I’m supposed to send back along with more money.  They’ve long since wasted all the money I gave them on

This line is my favorite of any from any movie.

I’ve been to several DC United games.  Since reading this article, I’ve discovered the Spirit will be playing two games at Audi Field: one in August and one in September.  I’ll likely try to take my daughters to one of those two.

Well, if you’re getting caught by a HALL monitor, there may be a necessary need for disciplinary action.

I feel like with a little more effort you could Lincoln another reference or two. Typical lazy American... thanks Obama.

Even by himself he nearly got all the way to the area between the 5 and 1 positions.
