Laughable. Same weather? Nope. Also cleaner air and no emissions inspections doesn't bode well. The air quality in California has gotten a lot better and really is only an issue sometimes in LA given the wind patterns and the shape of the surrounding mountains.

Bad gas mileage for sure. 14 mpg for mine. Great in the snow and ice. There have been multiple times I have been thankful for its capabilities in those circumstances which I think are a combination of good awd, weight (it’s a tank) and power.

G500. Have put 100k plus miles on it since I bought it in 2009. Not a single problem. I think it gets a lot of grief because it is considered flashy and because people shopping it don’t really understand where it can excel.

Agree. It looks like a great car but it is a crowded market segment, the people who buy new tend to move onto the next great thing and with a lot of the AMG cars you worry about maintenance costs. Damn impressive 0 to 60 for a car that isn't exactly lightweight.
