I do see your point, but on the other hand I think there's this attitude that goes around on the part of some people that women, racial minorities, etc are obligated to teach people that are question their basic humanity why they are wrong. It's a good thing to try and reach people, but at the same time it isn't wrong

I'm a feminist who argues fighting the patriarchy is about helping men (combating racism has improved in recent years, but there are some white feminists types who aren't on the same page)... are you arguing that point?

Pretty much what I get from this is that the presentations are the Fruit Stripes zebra gum, the convention part of it is the lasting flavor.

This comment actually makes the demo guy feel human, the way he exhibits very human fears that we can relate to.

yeah but how can we trust that any of this actually happened if nobody in the room had eyes or mouths

Btw Elizabeth - just wanted to say your comics are great. I've enjoyed them all a lot so far, thank you. :)

How would this happening in real life be "painting an activision game in a negative light"? This is merely showing that the man on the stage is a real human being living in this world, not some automatic sales-pitch automaton. What exactly sets your gears grinding to produce this kind of output anyway? Are you worried

This is an actual thing that happened.

I'm glad someone at E3 made that point. Everyone - from CoD players to Activision reps to random people who don't even know what E3 is - should have dialogue about gun violence in America.

I love the humanity and real-world touch this little story provides to a massive media promo event like E3. Thanks for sharing this, Simins.

It's a valid concern — and it makes me appreciative that someone there is human enough to address it.

Additional comment to note that I actually really enjoy these comics, and appreciate the comedic contrast between this game and the headlines writers made from the Ubisoft interview.

I love the fact that the developer was so patient with you, especially considering he spends most of his time around career gamers / devs. That alone makes me interested in the game - the developer cares about players!

George RR Martin, is that you?

well obviously. Heck, that's what that panel in the comic is about. The artist found the people that accept and understand her.

I've got the "accept" part in my life. i'll live.

& not having to explain myself

"Impossible" and "Dreams" plus this face, I knew it was about Molyneux.

I really like this way of providing information to us readers. It reminds me of Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics.

I'm crying. I don't know if it's because it's sad or if it's because I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe.
