@krn: Heh, you guys crack me up!

@epoplive: "...so it's really our own fault."
@englishman: Agreed, wholeheartedly. While I love the features that webkit enable — rounded corners, shadows, oh, the joy! — I won't use them. I like my sites to look the same in every browser, and until every browser displays code correctly, I'm sticking to the standards.
@Blueluck: Ugh, I shudder to think of what disasters *that* results in! I've found that, ever since I started developing in Firefox, the likelihood of compatibility issues is pretty low. It's only when I see someone develop in IE and then go to test in other browsers that I see most problems occur.
@quendiljt: I'm honestly not quite sure how much faster Chrome really is. I use it — I mostly test in-development websites on it — but as far as speed goes, I'm still not sure.
Beautiful! Black and white are sometimes dangerous, as they can be really boring if you're not careful, but you definitely won't run into that problem. Great job!
@englishman: Which web designers aren't following standards? The biggest issue we face is cross-browser compatibility, as many browsers read code differently. If a designer isn't following standards, she or he shouldn't call themselves a web designer.
Do you like Firefox? Then stick with it. Hate it? Switch to Chrome. What's the problem? (;
I thought we were getting a full article, but instead the link just goes to the Australian version of Lifehacker. It would have been interesting to read more about Hurn's approach to overcoming shyness by using his camera, but instead I got the same article twice. /:
@AustinFound: Got ya. From your first comment, it seemed as if though you meant that everyone should rip their CDs and DVDs and then store them on a hard drive as opposed to actually keeping the physical copies.
Hmn. I like the idea of standing desks; the thought of standing instead of sitting seems more ergonomic and active to me, and I can't wait to set up my own.
Um, hi. Microsoft? Could you, you know, fix your CSS support?
Doing them this weekend, I swear!
I have a lot of books, too, so my plan is to have lots of shelving in my office. I don't like the cluttered feel of this room, though. I think I would leave out the shelving above my work area and would definitely choose a room with a window instead; I would feel so cooped up in here!
@AustinFound: I personally like having CDs and DVDs. Who cares how much space they take up?
@jethro1138: Agreed. I'd add: Can I work remotely? What exactly is the pay? Any benefits?
So - correct me if I'm wrong - Google HMTL5 player only works on Google browser? Hey, Google, um, your Microsoft is showing.
@ClockOnTheStove: I'm so glad I'm not the only one whose avatar keeps changing; it should be pulling my Facebook default but frequently pulls absolutely nothing. Hurry for avatar roulette!
@orbitbreak: It took me so long to realize that babies weren't going to break when I dressed or changed them! I like those cloth carriers. I like that you're pretty much snuggling your baby while on the go as opposed to plopping them into a stroller.
I use the "Am I still using this?" theory. You have to be honest with yourself for this to be successful. If you haven't used something in the last six months, you probably won't need it again. The value of it - unless you are a collector - shouldn't matter when it comes to decluttering.
