You’ve got the right idea, but men are heavily socialized and conditioned to believe that their individual success and accolades are their own. They’re not sharing credit out of selfishness; they really do believe they’re the only ones who accomplished X even when it’s glaringly obvious that that isn’t true.

“We talked to the men who wanted all the credit, and they didn’t talk about her, so...we good here?”

As a PR person and government in politics, I’ve gotten that version of the NYT response in many different forms. “You can’t expect us to include every single detail because some issues are so broad. We have space restrictions, you know.” Okay sure but all the flattering details you DO include somehow benefit white men

Ha, there we go again.  You Russian trolls have a nasty habit of outing yourselves by blaming Obama for literally everything.  Sorry Anatoly, sorry that Obama pwned you guys so hard while he was president.  Guess I understand why you’re so salty about him.  He won and won and won against your KGB heroes.

Get out of here you braindead DSA poser.  You people are helping Drumpfy much more than you know.  End your divisive rhetoric immediately and start supporting ideas that can win in the Midwest.  Centrism wins.  Damn you people for what you’ve done to us.

But, again, why go after his family too? What did they do, besides exist? I know The Root of all places isn’t cool with collective punishment.

Has romance ever been the result of cat calling...?

Exactly! Countless women have eschewed performing femininity throughout history for practicality, for survival, for strategic purposes, and even out of personal preference - and they were still women.

I don’t know about Tex Gill (that’s one good thing about this - I’ve learned something) but I do know about Joan of Arc. She had very practical reasons for dressing in male clothing, aside from her “voices,” especially during her captivity: she feared being raped. The transcripts of her interrogations and trial exist;

There never was a transition process. Tex Gill is a lesbian who prefers to be referred to as a man. Now, like Joan of Arc, Eleanor Roosevelt and Marsha P. Johnson, who’ve all been posthumously “trans’ed”, there’s a legend and there’s history, and somewhere in the middle you may find the truth. Tex Gill operated

Mila Jovovich doesn’t murder zombies either, so why was she cast in Resident Evil?

One minute the argument is “trans women are 100% real women and trans men are 100% real men”. If there’s no difference, and trans people really are bonafide members of the gender they’ve transitioned into, then Scarlett Johansson playing a trans man should be exactly the same as her playing any male character, which

But she isn’t Russian. She shouldn’t be taking away roles for actual Russians either.

The same level of pearl-clutching occurred each time a Madea movie was released right? No? Huh.

Yeah. I am *convinced* my neighbors somehow got a hold of professional mortars and set them off until around 2 am.

To the idiot in the grays (there’s only one currently).

You know, the anti-semitism in liberal circles never fails to astound me.

Thank you for providing me all of this. Although you were more catching me up than making a series of points, the last bit you mentioned about “why” he’s covering this strikes me as off. If only because it doesn’t take into consideration how someone’s career might develop. Write one piece on this topic and get more

Hey guys, uh....Rome is burning...

HE should be placed in a male prison in his own cell. Not solitary, just his own cell. They need a separate wing for the gender-nonconforming for their own safety, plus their own yard. That’s as far as I would go for him though. HE RAPED AND MURDERED A FEMALE AND YOU WANT HIM IN A FEMALE PRISON? Right.
