True. Someone on this comment section said that we’re starting to go back to how pricey cable was, with all these streaming services, and its kinda true. For the last few years I’ve had a sweet spot of a few streaming platforms and Sling TV, and its cheaper than cable. But if I have to subscribe to 5+ platforms,

A lot of people has already said it lately, but it’s worthy to be repeated: this trend will make piracy skyrocket, and it will be the sole fault of greedy corporations. A lot of people, myself included, are up to pay for legal ways for getting content, but there’s a ceiling of reasonability that is about to be broken.

This is what struck me. The numbers are all like “oh, people spent a long time watching Grey’s Anatomy, Friends, and the Office.”. You know what those shows have? A LOT of episodes. Natural breaks that keep the pace breezy. i.e., something you can leave running in the background while you do whatever. Each episode

Exactly. Ten episodes per season of hour long prestige shows is generally good, but ten episodes of half hour long lighter fare is what you call half a season, if that.

What worries me most is that Netflix says they are going to make more original shows- which is great, they have a fairly solid track record there- but they also seem to think 3 seasons of 10 episodes is enough. It isn’t.

I’m setting my limit at 3 I think. I pay for Hulu and netflix. Amazon is included with my prime so I’m not counting that, and I may get Disney as I have a young son. I haven’t canceled my cable yet, but with GoT coming to an end, and the NFL being basically unwatchable the last few years, I think it’s almost time.

Personally, I’ll pay for two with an occasional third. Recently I added HBO Now for GOT. In a month or two when that’s over and I’ve caught up on VEEP and True Detective and watched a few movies, I’ll cancel. I did the same thing with Starz for S1 of American Gods (no real interest in S2 without Fuller/Green at the

When do we reach peak streaming? How many services can the average viewer reasonably adopt?

As a one man jam company (FruitYeah!) I am very pro-jam in everything. I also have experimented with jam cocktails that require a bit more in the ingredient department. A personal favorite is the Dona Frida, a tequila based drink that calls for plum jam spiced with pink peppercorns and cinnamon. As I make my own pluot

Counterpoint: Winston & Ferguson have the absolute best chemistry of the show.

This goes back to the big question: Of all of the affairs the Trump men have had in their lives...there has to be documentation out there of either an abortion *or* illegitimate child, right?

That’s strange. I assumed the Trump family reproduced by forcing facehuggers onto unwitting low level employees.

She was trying to use her uterus as an ATM and he’s plain ole stupid, or maybe his logic was that if he did get her pregnant, Daddy would let him get a divorce to quell scandal. She was still using her uterus as an ATM, joke would have been on her because she probably has more liquid cash than him.

And that’s an extremely fair criticism.

If they were gonna be that nitpicky, they should have dinged the woman in the center, too, who clearly said “will.i.am (pause) iambic pentameter” when the correct reply should have been “will.i.ambic pentameter.”

I apologize in advance for any perceived enmity, but I take my eggs very seriously.

That letter is fantastic, my favorite sentence was “I see your gaslight and now raise you a scorched earth.” Bring. It. Amber.

One of the best places to find properly-trained mental health professionals is through the professional organizations that cover the various mental health disciplines. For example, the NASW (mentioned in the post), the American Counseling Association, the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, the
