If it went full Moral Orel Season 3 depressing, I would be psyched, but I don't think I could handle watching it.

Isn't it a strong example of auteur theory, since it shows the degree to which all of the movies are dependent on his vision, whether his vision is beautiful Malickesque movies or just a lot of pot jokes?

Why does everyone insist on bringing up Girls regardless of circumstances? I mean, besides the obvious.

I don't disagree, I'm just saying she's not an example of just putting a woman into a role not necessarily written for a woman.

Well, Alana isn't really an example of just putting a woman in a gender-neutral role, given the romantic tones of their relationship.

Needless to say: It does.

Does he do it over the images? When I think of his text overlays I think of usually white, but occasionally primary colored, text over a black background in a serif-less font.

And for me it's Bottle Rocket.

I know the reviewer didn't enjoy it, but the premise sounds clever enough that I don't think I'll be able to avoid watching it when it inevitably shows up on some streaming site.

I mean, that last episode had some… major reveals.

They have a few Hollis Frampton movies that make it worth the fee by themselves.

This is, like, the worst possible time.

I don't know about that - I don't think they've been purchasable online because of sample issues.

I always describe Q as "an asshole Doctor".
