"If Jay has been the Flash for only two years, why was his father wearing that helmet in the War of the Americas if there were no metahumans?"

You'd be a dick too if a monster you created by accident kidnapped your daughter and the local hero won't do shit about it.

Caitlin might feel she's done her share of grieving over Ronnie. What with a year of thinking he was dead last season, him being gone for another half a year and now dead again for ANOTHER 9 months.

"Is there an actual reason as to why neither Dean Munsch nor Feather go to a prison in this episode, instead ending up at a mental hospital? "

Yeah, exactly. And the lack of mention of Superman on this show or Arrow. She'd have to be from a third universe.

Still, fair game for use.

It's still a thing, which makes it something they can borrow from. It's not like they have him dating Julie Madison or Mera.

How is it weird? They spent an entire episode browbeating Barry with "if you don't trust people, eventually we won't trust you" sentiment. How does he have a choice?

Iris was in a long term relationship with a man who died saving the world. MAYBE she might want to grieve on that a bit longer?

Well, to be fair, Patty *is* Barry's love interest in the newer comics. They can go either way.

I think tht with the introduction of Earth-2, we're supposed to get the sense that there's an Earth-3, Earth-4, etc, and that Supergirl is on one of those. And that if they ever decide to crossover, they'll just claim she's from one of those.

Or, like I said, they're deliberately ignoring where there IS plotting.

Or people choose not to pay attention so they can keep saying a show is "bad".

It's clear to me because they literally specifically stated it as so.

So did I.

The statement she made saying she wasn't asked, though, was literally the day after they announced they were even doing it.

Then perhaps THAT is how she knew Claire was dead?

They've worked on the dead before.

It's a two part episode.

That's from 2014, though. According to a more recent interview, she was asked and declined because of Nashville. She also stated she could't wait to see the show, and was excited about the plot re: Claire, so I assume she knows about it.
