This is the first review I ever read that doesn't stress that Tom Hughes doesn't make a very good job.

Albert has been chosen by the Saxa Coburg family since ages to be VIctoria's husband and he got a specific education for that. The reasons why they chose him are many.. including him being younger, 'pure' and with a lot of sense of duty towards his family. It's well explained in history books.
