I can’t possibly be the only one who is just an itty-bit disappointed at the lack of a “down the rabbit hole” pun/whatnot here, can I? It was a hole, a rabbit popped out of it, and Syd gets pulled down it. I mean, not even mentioned in any comments up to this point, is it too overt to seem even remotely

Kerri and Matthew share some thoughts on the finale:

Considering David has been in Melanie’s mind I’m sure he anticipated her potential betrayal. Clark might have been a red herring.

And one of these discussions is to tell us that her interview at the FBI is “next wednesday”, i.e the finale. So I guess there will a big showdown at the FBI...

Methinks we’re saving one last glimpse of our beloved mail carrier for the series finale.

You might not be a racist (I don’t know David Cross so I can’t say), but you did do a racist thing at least that one time.

Was the area Farouk’s body is buried in called “Le désolé?” That was what I thought I heard, and it being French for “the desolate” would make sense.

I think she’s now compromised, not in an operational sense, but in an emotional way that will eventually compromise her in an operational sense.

With the painting, I was so annoyed, why take the biggest, best painting if you’re just going to burn it?

One of my favourite scenes from this show is Philip and Gabriel’s conversation in season 5 about Philip’s father, who worked in a logging camp but was not a logger. In particular, these lines from Gabriel:

I just find myself yelling “This show!” at my cat in disbelief during every commercial break.

I’m glad the season is almost over. Not because I don’t like it (it’s been fantastic), but because I think I’d have a heart attack if it went on for much longer

I say Renee kills Philip or Elizabeth or both. I think she’s been put there both to protect them and to make sure they’re toeing The Center’s line. If P&E become more a liability than an asset, The Center won’t hesitate to have them both killed. And what a way to fire “Chekhov’s gun.”

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned was one of the episode’s minor delights for me: how Yao was disturbed yet impressed by Laurie’s inhuman inscrutability (“At times, I find it difficult to know what you are thinking”) and by show’s end, was looking to emulate her. As a typically poker-faced Chinese businessman, he has

I always thought I’d hate to see Monica reduced to a “love interest” to gain a storyline on the show, but oddly enough, I don’t mind the idea of Monica and Gilfoyle. Basically because I think their mutual admiration/attraction to each other is based on how much they appreciate the others’ intellect. So I don’t think

Is anybody trying to save The Mick? While I like B99 better, I’ll miss The Mick more because I feel it still had more story and character space to explore.

The Mick ought to get another season just because of how ballsy that season finale was—and it’s genuinely funny, but mostly that finale was like, “daaaang, what? Dark!”

I think the most difficult thing for me to watch was when Philip and Elizabeth watched other operatives burn a man alive in a stack of tires. The sounds alone made me change channels (and there was some spiffy name for that method of murder but I seem to have blocked it from my memory).

My boyfriend sold her a piece of furniture and delivered it to her place in LA and he can confirm, that she is every bit of awesome, tough, sweet that you would imagine. She goes by Franny and haggled the hell of of a deal with him...

Gavin’s pretty amazing as far as “villains” go. It’s satisfying when he face plants, but there’s also a part of you (or at least me) that also kind of cheers him on, and finds it satisfying when he pulls something off. They made a lot of effort last season to humanize him.
