This outfit was supposed to be a joke, but now I’m not so sure.

You know, I love “What Dream May Come”, but following the suicide of Robin Williams, it has become unwatchably sad.

“But seriously, if you were going to be around Ron Jeremy, wouldn’t you assume that I’d be a little bit touchy feely?” he said. “Yes. This is what I do for a living.”

That’s what someone I know remembered him from, having never seen LOTR, Alien, etc. Lots of people love that adaptation of The Borrowers.

I can’t say I’m surprised, but Rami Malek not winning for Mr. Robot is fucking wild.

I did not realize that everyone did not live their life this way. I figured everyone had their regularly scheduled poop time, either morning, noon, or night. I wake up stupid early before work because I shall not be rushed.

Oh, I gotta see what outfit #2 was.

It looks to me, more and more with every mention and promise in this episode, that Whiterose’s machine is some kind of VR or like a San Junipero - post-death tech transcendence. You can have any world you can dream of there. All your wishes would come true. Nothing will ever hurt. The personal paradise that fakes all

Dom - you magnificent bastard, you! That was so badass. I knew she was planning something against Janice - all those van stalking and street notes. The whole thing with Deegan. The way she made him save her family was genius. But the way she took the knife out of her lung, got the gun and then got those Dark Army

So even though we see the explosion coming, it still packs a wallop.

Also, as somebody whose mother is a therapist who specializes in helping patients unlock traumatic events that they’ve blacked out, and who has had two long term girlfriends whose issues largely boiled down to sexual trauma...

Sidney Applebaum is both my favorite Stefon punchline and also my favorite Bill Hader break.

What??? No Detectorists? Or Peaky Blinders?

Baskets is the one I was most surprised about not making it given how praised it’s been. They reviewed it on the site as well, so I’m not sure how it missed the cutoff. I’d wonder if they were keeping it off because of Louis CK’s involvement, but Better Things made the list and he was co-creator and executive producer

Only film I’ve ever seen at midnight. Saw it during the first MCU marathon screenings leading up to the midnight release, alongside my dad who was two months removed from a liver and kidney transplant. He wore an Iron Man shirt, me in my Cap duds. We were both little kids all over again.

All of my favorite shows are coming to an end. Mr. Robot, Legion, to a slightly lesser extent Preacher... all flawed in their ways, but with the strongest commitment to a surreal experimentalism I don’t think we’ve seen on television since Twin Peaks. It was often times shocking that these creatively bizarre stories

Now playing

I think The Implication scene from The Gang Buys a Boat demonstrates how you can make a joke about practically anything. But the trick is in how you frame the joke.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. Am not Canadian but interested in Canadian history. I’ve read that the original pool of French-Canadian settlers was very small, so if you have French ancestry tracing back to the early days of Canada, as Bieber, Lavigne, and Gosling do, it’s not surprising they are distantly

Chip finally treating Martha like a human was so touching.
