In next weeks episode: Senate bill HR244 regarding taxation of interplanetary trade gets filibustered by Frogo of Deraxium 5. (que simpsons bit).

Now where have I seen that space station before?

They had no narrative plan past each individual sequel. They wrote everything on the fly and it’s only logical they’d leave a lot of hanging plot points and glaring plot holes.

Weird how the Knights of Ren were shown more and had more to do in comics than in the movies.

The sequels too.

So it’s only Kennedy’s fault when it’s a bad film?

FUCK!!!!

Taika Waititi’s movie is also currently being written and was referred to as Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy as “fresh, unique and unexpected.”

Will this focus on the stealing of Death Star II plans? Will we finally see Manny? :P

In 2019 the movie industry made $41 billion and the music industry made $19 billion.
Video games made $152 billion.

If nothing else this public display of ignorance will hopefully slow down cries for Shuri to become Black Panther and make them accept recasting T’Challa (I’m going with John David Washington). Boseman can be what Connery was to Bond: the originator who set the standard all others will be judged against. Benching the

I have rarely been as flat-out angry at a book as I was reading “Out of the Dark.” I have read a fair amount of Weber, but that one was derivative (Footfall, any number of Tom Clancy books) and the vampires came out of nowhere with no explanation. I imagine that this one will have some discussion about where the

I’ve said this all before, but the Sequel Trilogy wasn’t completely bereft of good ideas. In fact, there were plenty. But the execution almost across the board was absolutely terrible.

I think it’s fairly likely that if Lucas had gotten the sequels made, Filoni would have ended up the person executing them, considering how they worked on The Clone Wars together. I have the vague sense that Lucas wasn’t all that interested in getting back in the director’s chair again.

And I don’t blame you. As

If he’d been willing to collaborate with strong talent that was willing to refuse his more fanciful ideas, as he had during the original trilogy, I would have eaten this up with a spoon. Seriously. The sequels have left me utterly disinterested in the franchise and disheartened as a passing fan.

While the comments here are likely going to be the usual orgy of Lucas-bashing, I think this all sounds pretty interesting, and it squares with the more political concerns that have always crowded around Lucas’ work. (With admittedly varying quality!) I like the first two sequel films and SOLO quite a bit, but I’d

Hard disagree, VII got me with the nostalgia and the twist end and VIII took that nostalgia, hit puree, fed it to hog with explosive diarrhea, and used the fecal matter placement as plot structure.

For me the issue wasn’t that Luke was a cranky old hermit but that the justification was, “My nephew is having a bad dream. I’d better kill him.” And that’s all we get. Like if you put something like, “I now see that the dark side had grown and blinded me” I can wrap my head around that. Maybe Snoke/Palpatine is
