Nah. Not in this case anyway. Some of these are from 2014 when he was 29, an aspiring actor, and looking for a job. He should have known better. Leaving them up for 6 years, only to take them down and issue an “apology” after they were dug up feels very hollow.

In the original script for Prometheus, Jesus was an Engineer returning to Earth to check up on humanity. When they found out humans crucified him, the Engineers decided to carpet bomb Earth with the goo, which is why the Prometheus crew discovers the crescent ship has a flight plan to Earth.

‘Alien’ was about going to the far side of the galaxy and stumbling on something that was none of our business. ‘Prometheus’ turned that all on its head. It became all about us. A dead alien space ship on the far side of the galaxy and somehow the backstory was all about us. It wouldn’t have been a more disappointing…

Hell, “Finn becomes a Jedi” is probably the only post-Sequel storyline I’m at all interested in. Maybe that can happen.

Those themes very seldom play into the conflict of individual episodes, however. Most of the actual stories feel much more rooted in a romanticized version of colonialism, just with aliens, so all the problematic aspects are avoided.
