Just throw this on the pile along with maintaining the casting of Johnny Depp, domestic abuser, and avoiding Dumbledore’s sexual orientation in a movie including both him and the man with whom he had fallen in love. This pile is labeled “reasons I won’t be seeing this movie.”

He showed up for a set on Put Your Hands Together a couple of weeks ago (unfortunately but expectedly the set wasn’t on the podcast) so I was kind of wondering if this was coming. Excited for the Denver date: haven’t seen any Flula Borg previously but the rest of that lineup is a murderers row.

I’m fairly certain that the WTF podcast is available worldwide (almost positive I’ve downloaded in the UK). Either go listen to the source interview and see if you feel the same way or don’t comment on it because you’re out of your element, Donnie.

Thing is, he also predicted that Romney would win in 2012. I’m not going to give him credit for being as accurate as a coin toss.

I’m ashamed to say that I was one of the dipshits that voted for Nader in 2000 (but I’ve got to own it). Now, luckily (I guess) I live in CO where even if all of us Naderites had voted for Gore, Bush still would have won by something like 60k votes so I don’t have to consider that my vote ruined everything (whereas,

Al Gore won me over with his comic persona when he was on one of the late night shows (Tonight Show?) and he was talking about the whole “invented the internet” thing. I’m paraphrasing here:

Yes, that is actually Brie Larson singing the Metric song in the movie (not the version you’ve linked). If you listen to the two versions back-to-back there’s a pretty distinct difference in the vocals (Emily Haines has a much sharper tone whereas Brie Larson sings with a smoother voice and with a bit of a lilt).

I am stoked to go back to all of the classic UCB bits that premiered on this show. Also, all of the Maron appearances.

I have to admit, I am thoroughly amused by him in the “Chad” sketckes.

That’s what I was going to say.

Alright...

I’m with you on this: I was more referring to studio tracks rather than live covers (I’ve enjoyed quite a few straight live covers as well as piss-takes).

Fair. Lame... but fair.

I’m still a bigger fan of the sleeziness of the original but that right there is a great cover. Thanks for pointing this one out.

You know Africa by Toto? It sounds like that.

Harold and Kumar’s 3D Christmas was pretty amazing... mainly because the whole concept was making fun of how pointless 3D movies are.

I guess that I’m not that bothered by Maron’s take on CBMs because I kind of agree with him: I realize that I was “brain raped by He-Man” when I was a kid (advertising works subconsciously and we’re all affected by it, even when we think we’re not... this is why I literally have He-Man figures in a display case less

First, I have no fucking clue where “we” fall on Hardwick because I can only speak for myself.

Ah, it was just bustin’ balls. Paul Rudd was fine with it. If he wasn’t, they wouldn’t have done 5-minutes of leaf blower noises together.
