He does bring up Sewer Shark which came out at basically the same time as Night Trap. A friend of mine got both for his birthday and I remember convincing myself that they were great. The one that I never played but some friends had was Ground Zero Texas… it was probably shit too.

Why add vampires to a perfectly good zombie story?

Yeah, six measly points, who gives a shit? (About the dead pool… I do care about him being dead.)

So is HBO just trying to get all of the comics that came out of the mid-00's Chicago scene under contract?

If you're talking as a comic yourself, I can't really comment, but as a fan, he's easily one of the nicest and most engaging comics that I've had a chance to meet.

I loved/love Creep and Pablo Honey but, no, I couldn't have predicted based on that debut. I thought they showed a lot more potential for staying power with the diversity of songs on The Bends. OK Computer was the album that locked them up a one of the greats (in my mind).

That was exactly my problem with it: nothing stuck with me. I actually watched it twice because the second time I wasn't 100% sure that I'd seen it yet.

Huh.

Ok, so I've read in several comments now that Yoshi and Birdo are lovers and this is the first I'm hearing it. Got any sources you can site (I feel left out of the "Trivial Knowledge of Nintendo Characters Sexuality" club).

Even today I almost always play as female characters when given the choice but for me it's been kind of for the opposite reason: I would much rather spend my hours upon hours playing games looking at a woman rather than a man.

I like the concept they're going for and I really went into this wanting to enjoy it but Jesus Christ is the execution terrible. 100% agree that this is not helping.

Really? It just seemed to me that everyone, other than CT, was going through the motions (could have been the head space I was in at the time though).

No, not your wording at all; I've always found the concept of Superman a bit condescending. Rest assured, it's one of my hang-ups. Your comments just allowed me to vent a bit. Dude has just never been "my guy."

I haven't read All-Star Superman, and I'm up for giving it a go, but all of the points that you're listing are exactly what rub me wrong about Superman. The embodiment of human virtues does nothing for me: where's the internal conflict? I like my Superheroes flawed.

I probably should have been more specific in my thoughts: when I said better, I meant a more compelling character/Superhero. Your comments are all accurate and actually support my thoughts about Batman vs. Superman: add in the flaws and Batman's even more interesting.

I remember back when liking Channing Tatum was a hanging offense. I got a lot of shit from people when I said that I found him incredibly enjoyable in The Dilemma (otherwise a miserable fucking movie that I saw on a plane).

Wow. A Batman vs. Superman trailer with "I Wupped Batman's Ass" playing is my new favorite concept. Thanks for planting the seed.

That's always been my big argument for why Batman is Better than Superman: normal dude (with buttloads of cash), super smart, works really hard.

I get chills just thinking about that scene.

It reminded me of my first time watching Trainspotting (especially Begbie and Edit: Spud). After a second watch (of both), I was fine… I was also watching great movies for a second time.
