chills.
some of it does feel slightly filler-y but honestly the strong tracks are so definitive i have no problem with it.
definitely a top album for me (top 10 or top 20/30 not sure).
it's just a good thing.
my favorite of mel's achievements: producing the Fly for david croneneberg!
no offense to young frankenstein and 2000 year old man etc….but the fly kicks all of it's ass.
i also enjoyed mel on curb.
but think about it….if coming out "slightly ahead" is the result of cutting absolutely every cost possible, how the heck can they even pay rent on a decent apartment let alone live a decent life (food, healthcare, etc)? not wreck your hands lugging heavy amps when you should be warming up? having a sound guy who…
seconded…you can ABSOLUTELY lose money on a tour.
unless you are the upper echelon of the business and after everyone involved has been paid (including transport, lodging, etc), many or even most indie bands barely break even at best and just do it for the joy of playing for people and hopefully getting their band…
a "lengthy battle with bile duct cancer"
that sounds fucking horrible.
my sympathy and rip….
yeah…he just kept yelling and yelling…really annoying by the end.
i liked the synth line sorta.
his rhythm also seemed oddly "off"….besides that it just felt "yell-y" and monotonous.
is it me or is kanye simply not a very skilled mc?i liked the projection screen thing tho…that looked pretty cool.
that one was jam packed!
nice change of pace there. the tap dancing was over the top…but everything else pretty much worked for me.
"are we negros?"
that cracked me up.
the overal drug aided desperation definitely gave the whole thing an engaging energy.
weird and wacky but good tv.
i do give him credit for complete commitment. no annoying laughing at your own lines with that one….just full on character.
a good movie could be made about the giant community of conspiracy theorists who have been obsessing about this nonsense for decades…
I have my issues with the show so far…but damn this is one lackluster comments section.
Judd Hirsch was perfect, spot on tone and timing….maron's acting is still not really working for me tho it feels forced and artificial.
stickin with it.
I just had to post this again…maybe my all time favorite funny scene in the entire series:
http://youtu.be/_QiwAf8ltuk
had me laughing like the first time i ever saw jackass.
so good.
maybe no best EVER….but damn good.
as far as best line ever the first thing that comes to mind is
(kelly): "dammit meredith where are your panties??"
http://youtu.be/_QiwAf8ltuk
this shit had me rolling.
brutal but true.
SPOOOOILERSSS!!
agree. made me realize how much i really bought the painfully real vibe of the early seasons in comparison to the latter season silliness.
definitely agree about james spader. when he showed up i was definitely looking forward to some cool strange writing which never quite arrived.
that has got to be a nostalgia aided A-.
not to be a sour puss…but that was just boring and lazy with a few moments of joy mixed in here and there. even by the low standards of this mercifully final season it was rough. silly sudden plot wrap ups, lazy jokes, easy half assed sentimentality (which paled in comparison…
