i think maybe it was…tonight just looks like a retrospective doc on the making of the show.
edit: ok i was wrong.

i think they imported some characteristics from the pop world (pink, britany, katy perry, etc) to create a hybrid.  both underwood and swift seem much less "edgy" than juliette.
also i think underwood could sing juliette under the table any day…swift not so much.

i'm not from the south so i'm not super sensitive to bad southern accents…but her's does seem a little off.

that was a flawless performance.  she captured "being a cute little baby" perfectly.  unfortunately by part 3 she had outgrown the role.

i did kind of half forget them…might be time to go back and check em out.

i have to say i think stiller did the best work of his career in greenberg.  he was completely convincing as that annoying guy.

probably because it's so damn drab…the characters and even the cinematography are terminally cloudy.
i enjoyed it tho.

a tad soporific she is…but in a vaguely pleasant way.

greenberg was pretty damn good….stiller owned that annoying role, in a good way.

greenberg, squid + whale, and margot at the wedding all worth watching…even if they are all pretty much downers.

insanely cute…but a limited acting range imo.

the plot machine exploded.
it's ok tho.

wake up…time to die!
BLAM!

seriously…that was just mean sprited on the part of the av club photo editor.

this.
christ…that gave me a start.

is the guy on the left on the dvd cover photo the same guy who played one of the replicants in bladrunner (ie the guy with the wax forehead who gets shot by rachel)?

gonna take a sec to get into the tone and timing of this but it's definitely got some interesting elements.

i saw that documentary about her….it was kind of interesting even if you can't stomach her act as entertainment.

agree.
the californians is not just bad and unfunny….it is painfully annoying.  it only makes it worse that the participants are breaking character and laughing at their own "funny" accents throughout.

it's a paradox…i think many viewers NOT already familiar w the personae might just find it annoying and off putting and many viewers who ARE familiar might just be thinking "i've already heard all this stuff".  sort of a lose lose scenario.
i hope not tho because i am rooting for maron to do well in his newest
