the master was so much better….i'm not even sure argo qualifies as "great" piece of anything. it was ok.
not only should PTA be up for best director, PSH and Joaquin P should have both won their respective categories.
imo.

nah…that's rebecca demornay (sp?)
sheeeesh…somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this lifetime…
be well.
@NephewOfAnarchy:disqus yeah…that was a great version of that song. it was cool to see them up there doing songs from the first couple albums….it still works.
I recently saw a full hour live set from soundgarden (from the "live on letterman" series). really solid and far from embarrassing imo. cornell was not as shatteringly "scream-y" as he was in '91 but was actually less pitchy. overall i enjoyed it. that said cornell will always be riding the ragged edge of his…
a really solid rock band. Glad they're still at it.
not sure how i feel about seeing them all riding Segway scooters tho.
shield reviews: cool.
that is a very reasonable assumption.
that said even tho there is no real $ being made by the best show and it is not exactly main stream it definitely IS an institution of sorts with thousands of hours to it's credit…whereas Enlightened has just started it's run.
gtfo! they looking freaking the same. damn.
i agree. something about michelle giving the oscar to ZD30 would have had a decidedly "1984" dystopian vibe about it. glad that did not happen.
i agree….tom seemed genuinely upset at the thought.
@eric827:disqus …eh it's a shame. bunch of dusty old geezers. i thought the artist was pretty much a snooze as well.
Heard mike white on "the best show" this week sounding already resigned to the show not being renewed, but maybe he was just playing the part. seems like an ok show…have not really gotten into it yet.
she's had her moments tho…After Hours and Crash are two high points…also that priceless bit part in Pulp Fiction. she was also perfectly cast in the tv movie of Executioner's Song.
Just wanted to add that the music of aimee mann was well used in this ep. very appropriate.
as did she….and then some.
there was a couple of quick shots of him that looked decidedly dark…strange cat. either way i would be getting the Master on blu ray for his performance alone, even if there wasn't also the intriguing direction of anderson, lovely 70mm cinematography, deeply strange true life correlations, and a "masterful" turn by…
is historical flattery all ya need?
i'm not trying to pick on argo or something…it's a perfectly interesting story told in a relatively engaging manner, etc but as a piece of filmmaking art i just did not find it compelling.
the visual effects team won….and they totally deserved it. the direction…not my cup of tea but that digital tiger was skillfully rendered to the max….
that was definitely his best film imo. life of pi i could not really get into….
